I say that the our government should pay no attention to the Argentines because (even though my mother is Argentinian) they are only spoilt people who still are not happy about Britain conquering the Falkland islands from them in the 1800's. Have you also noticest that when we found oil Argentina started wanting the Falklands even more.
At the moment, my nation has 9,000,000 people this means that it is bigger than 148 rl countries in the world according to the CIA factbook which counts territories such as the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) as separate nations.

It's imperialism?

Pretty sure those guys living in Falklands don't want to be Argentinians. And Britain has every right to explore the oil surrounding the island's waters. If anything, it's Latin America imperialism.

Sovereignity on the land belongs to the people who inhabit it. The current Falklanders have been mostly born there, from people who were born there. And they want to be British. So, end of the story.
As for the sea, international treatises say islands have territorial waters and EEZ.

The land is in British control due to British imperialism.

And South America is in Argentinian control due to Spanish imperialism.

I believe they should give the land back to Argentina, or, at least stop drilling for oil there.

And I believe the Argentinians should give the land back to the aboriginals, or at least stop building cities and farming crops there.

Well try thinking about it this way; President Kirchner is of European descent as is 86% of the of the population, 8.5% of the population is of mixed European and indigenous descent and only 1.6% of the population is indigenous. So really it's just one set of European imperialists arguing with another set of European imperialists.

So Ethiopia is the most imperialistic country in the world?

No, I don't think I've ever seen them before. But then again, even if I had I don't think that someone who hasn't even taken their History GCSE would get them either. I have had it explained via TG though, so all's good, except my revision...

Definitely. We Italians in the '30s were merely giving them payback for one million year of Ethiopian imperialism over the whole planet - and just look at the reaction of the imperialistic crowds. ;)

Ooh, look- a chance for David Cameron to BE his hero, Maggie Thatcher! He's almost lead us to complete and utter economic stagnation, if he pulls off a Second Falklands War then he can be his idol. Good for him!

It's just our president (Argentinian speaking here) waving the patriotic flag to get some cheap heat, you should get used to it. How far did that get us? Nowhere. Why should it be any different now?

Wow, the Argie govt.'s really stirred up at those tiny strips of barren land (no offense to the those proud but lonely inhabitants of the Falklands, of course). I mean, there isn't much except a few fishing areas, a handful of self-sufficient oil producers, and a few tourists, but that's pretty much it. I think the Falklands should remain the Brits' Falklands, and not Argentina's or any other South American nation's Malvinas.

The problem with getting the UN involved is that they have decided that all small islands that are owned by nations (every oversea territory of Britain included) should all be under there own control. But what they dont understand is that the reason that some of our oversea dependencies do not wish to be 'free' is that the are one of these 1.Cannot support themselves without the main nation or 2.Want to be part of the main nation e.g. Falkland Islands.
At the moment, my nation has 9,000,000 people this means that it is bigger than 148 rl countries in the world according to the CIA factbook which counts territories such as the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) as separate nations.

By the gods! There's a psychopath on the loose!

It's a world government twisting the newspapers whilst being under the control of the Zionist Prince Phillip clones who assassinated JFK!

And all to keep the UN from sending strongly worded letter's to supernovae!
