Let's assume abortions are illegal or well out of the price range of the common folk in many places with HIV, and that accidents happen. It's not really a matter of responsibility so much as bad fortune.

I was kinda hoping that they might actually realise that:

A) not blocking the vaccine might just be a better thing for humankind (that thing their God is supposed to love) than blocking it. And be sensible; and

B) they lost with the whole Gardasil thing, and came off looking like crazy, sex-obsessed morons to anyone with a modicum of common-sense

Here's hoping it works, this would be an amazing breakthrough if it does! Here's hoping this leads to AIDS going the way of smallpox.

About fucking time! If only the knowledge of how this drug works could be shared more freely between the people who actually have the right to decide how things like this are to be used and not the god called Profit, we might have HIV/AIDS on the ropes within a decade or less.

No it isn't. It affects an estimated 6% of people, everyone else is fine. Or do you want to tell me the sinus infection I just got over was caused by gluten, despite the fact that I ate no less of it as I got better. It was rest and a nice course of antibiotics that did the trick.
