Just going to say a Plan That I won't be able to do
1. Find a Female or Male ( a few )
2. Get on a boat with them (I would choose a large yacht, steal-it)
3. Pack Chickens and Pigs (I also prefer rabbits, They’re small and easy to house and breed in numbers)
4. Find a Uninhabited Island (where???)
5. Inhabit the Island (reconnaissance is helpful)
6. Breed (that's the easy part)
7. Hunt Pigs and Chickens (fishing is good as well)
8. Learn what's edible (gonna be some serious trial and error, bring books on survival and botany)
9. Die from Old age (there has to be some system of body disposal or there are gonna be zombies)
10. Watch your Family Grow and expand to redominate Planet (there has to be population control)
11. -you forgot to bring numerous supplies and a shit load of guns and tools to build.

That would still take hours of being on fire before it dies, which leaves more then enough time to go rip the person who set them on fire in half.

Well, that's assuming your fire isn't terribly hot. Napalm is. It burns at between 800 and 1200 degrees Celsius, which is about 1500 in Fahrenheit. It will not immediately incinerate the zombies but they will be dead or immobilized in a matter of minutes.

Thanks for reminding me of that. I meant to put down fishing since that was what first made me think of that.

Right, so all you need to do is find some napalm lying around and figure out how to drop it on the zombies. This isn't Left 4 Dead. There aren't going to be bountiful amounts of weapons and ammo just lying around.

Seriously. Napalm is a MILITARY GRADE WEAPON. Usually needs to be dropped by a MILITARY AIRCRAFT.

Good luck finding that shit.

Napalm is jellyfied gasoline, with for example benzene, polystryrene and some other chemicals thrown in.

Alright, we'll definitely be able to mix those up in our junior chemistry set.

This plan couldn't possibly go wrong.

Nitrongaia wrote:Depends on what scale the zombie invasion is.

If it's small, just a city-wide outbreak, I'd go for a .22 and maybe a handgun. I'd get in the car and run over zombies while getting out of my town.

If it's a world-wide invasion, I'd still have a .22 with a MP5 for CQB including a 9mm converter for it. Drive to nearest boat, and sail to some island in the Pacific. Then somehow make myself in charge of building the new center of technology and thinking on that island.

An M1A would've been my choice, but considering lack of ammo, I would reconsider. It's quiet enough and can pick off individual zombies. If there's a horde, I'd give up.

Revised Steps for a Worldwide Outbreak
1. Assuming it starts somewhere in Texas, I will have decent time to scramble and buy guns for friends and ammo while the media dismisses it as a rabies outbreak so the higher ups who run this world can get away in time.

2. Within the next week, buy a new car, peferably with a large trunk and wastes as less gas a possible.

3. Start stockpiling canned food, hand cranked radio, gas, sleeping gear, toothpaste, seeds of various plants, survival books, and ammo in the car.

4. Drive out of town with friends and family.

5. Either live and set up a new civilization with a bunch of gun crazed people who fortified their block in a small town and hope the zombies don't one day break in or go to a port. (Get the people in the town to put lube every day in front of their town and put pointy poles at the walls so zombies slip and get spiked.)

6. Check in at a local hotel, wait a few days until mass panic ensues.

7. Go steal the easiest, most suitable boat and quickly load everything before taking off.

8. Either sail to Microneasia, or go sail mindlessly until I hit an island.

9. Rejoice at Micronesia and live life peacefully or start a new age of mankind on a unmarked island.

Chainsaws are Impractical Weapons for Anything. They aren't made to cut through Flesh. It is a Melee Weapon that needs to be reloaded. And where are you going to find the fuel?

You people don't know how easy it is to make napalm, do you? All it is is Styrofoam dissolved in gasoline. Would it be military quality? Doubtful -- they probably used a much more complex method to develop a more effective weapon. Would it be good enough to do the trick? Definitely. It's still super-sticky, burns super-hot, and is super-hard to put out. Not that I speak from experience, of course

I'd recommend a hatchback or station wagon over a regular sedan/coupe. You wouldn't want to have to get out of the car to access the trunk if you could help it. And while you're in Micronesia, be sure to say hello to my Uncle Joe and Aunt Ichiko for me.
