You've forget the dumbest one in at least American history. The War of 1812 shouldn't have happened. Before the U.S declared war Britian was going to stop all the issues that began the war. News traveled slowly, unfortunately. In the end both countries got their butts kicked by each other. The result: nothing but the U.S national anthem

100,000,000 deaths in fifty years? And Charles who?

I think he refers to Charles I. of Austria nad his peace offer to the French.

30 Years War. It was basically a schoolyard brawl between Catholics and Protestants over petty economic issues with the only legitimate (if you can call it that) religious issue being the constant Jewish pogroms. That said, Gustavus Adolphus is still a god of war.

Not a war per se, and its reality is in dispute, but the Battle of Karánsebes is really stupid.

That's Sextus, not Sixtus.

France was concerned that Prussia/North German Confederation would undermine their ambitions of a Franco-lead European hegemony, which is why they initiated the war. France was still the aggressor though, since they did invade and attempt to cross the Rhine into Prussia.

The pastry war! Fought between Mexico, Texas and France over a French baker whose shop in Mexico was looted. The French demanded compensation from Mexico and led to a short war, with Texas taking measures against Mexico to prevent Mexican smugglers trying to use Texas as a way of getting around French port blockades.

The war ended with the damages being paid to the baker.

Westmoreland's entire strategy was attrition.

The War in Vietnam never had a purpose, and because the mission was so vague (to keep communism out), calling it a war of attrition would be false. Eisenhower merely wanted to maintain French control, Kennedy was only willing to help South Vietnam if South Vietnam was willing to help itself, Johnson escalated and declared war but never actually bombed strategic targets. It wasn't until Nixon that it began to resemble anything even remotely close to breaking them down, piece by piece. Prior to that it was one cluster fuck followed by another of incompetent commanders unsure of what to do, how to progress, etc.

Maybe the fact that a bunch of Brit territories had far higher taxes, far less rights, no representation in Parliament, and still didn't whine and start rebelling about cups of tea? Yeah.
