More dictators have died in the same year in the past. 1945 saw the death of three dictators, Mussolini, Hitler and Goebbels (who technically counts as a dictator as we has Chancellor for a few days after Hitler died).

Technically no. Unofficially probably yes.

We have to consider, he served over 2x over the term limit. During his second term though, he eliminated term limits.

In the 2006 Presidential Campaign, he admitted to voting fraud, against himself. I call BS, because who does that?

In the 2010 Presidential Campaign, two opposing candidates happen to be seriously beaten by police. He also authorized violent crackdowns against opposing candidate's supporters.

He is also accused of saying anti-semitic phrases.

Also despite being apparently hated, he always gets at least 80% majority vote for each election and is accused of massive voting fraud. And not surprisingly they have great relations with Russia, Ukraine and Georgia, which is also accused of voting fraud (Except Ukraine and Georgia, they passed that after the Orange and Rose Revolution respectively, but these events were recent.).

Sooooo...dictator.

If you want to be really technical, no. But if you want to go by common sense, yes.

Not really - because while Goebbels was made Chancellor, Donitz was given the superior position (in so far as 'superior' had any meaning in the Nazi state in April 1945) of Reich President.

Also, he held the title not for 'a few days', but for approximately 30 hours. Hitler committed suicide in the mid-afternoon of the 30th of April. Goebbels committed suicide no later than 8:30 pm on the 1st of April.

If Nazi Germany had a final dictator post-Hitler, it was Donitz, not Goebbels.

You're right, Donitz was the President and if I can recall, he died in the 80's. So that makes it 2 dictators who died in 1945, same as 2011 then.

1. Not in power.
2. Not in power.
3. In power: Hu Jintao.

Besides, you forgot lunatics like Hugo Chavez and that guy in Equatorial Guinea that eats testicles.

China is really ruled by committee.

Exactly, don't they have a Chairman too?

The list will get longer if you add those that have been deposed: Ben Ali, Murbarak and more.

Hu Jintao is not a dictator. He is a strong leader, just like Putin.

Encouraging illegal detention camps, starting illegal invasions and torturing and murdering innocents is not a violation of human rights I guess?

That is if you want to label the US as the bastion of human rights. ;)

But let's be honest here: Not all people in China do not believe in human rights, just as not all people in the US do not believe in human rights.

Indignados in Spain, Greece, Israel etc.
Greek anti-IMF/austerity protests.
Occupy movement.
Arab Spring
August riots in UK(i disagree with the tactics and target, but understand the causes)
Chile increased-tuition-led workers' and students' uprising.
Gaddafi overthrown and killed.
Putin's sham authority openly questioned.
Anti-tuition and austerity strikes in UK, culminating in 3 millions in 30 November general strike.
Many more.
And now "comrade" Kim tops it off.

Aye, it was a good year.

A new year dawns, with the ones in power shaking on their chairs.

Nguema's nephew is in power now and he is as every bit eccentric as his father. He delcared himself to be a god amongst other things.

I think he's dead, too.

Makes sense... but then again, I'm not really into communist states. ;)
