we have dominion over animals, we are superior in specific areas, as they are superior to us in other ares, we are more intelligent in specific areas, whereas they are more intelligent in other areas. A sponge has mastered the ability to not need to eat for days on end whereas we need food to function properly. We have dominion over them (taken from the Bible) but that does not mean we are smarter in every aspect
