I haven't followed the chart ever since TOTP finished a few years back.

NO.1 in the UK Charts this week is Run This Town by Jay Z. Will he stay at the top with Kayne and Rihanna next week, if so, will any of the songs listed knock him off in a few weeks?

Most people like British pop music.
That why it is called pop music, you know for popular?

Most people like American pop music too.
This doesn't make it good.

To be fair, Shakira does have a fantastic ass...

Robbie Williams is hot too. He should do more music videos where he takes off his clothes.

Fuck no. His arsehole personality destroyed any remaining hint of attraction I had for him. Not that there was much there to start with.

She was good during the 90's. But that "She-wolf" thing ... ugh. The lyrics make no sense, the backing music is just lazy, pseudo-electronic noise, and what did they do to her voice? Who listened to that mutilated mess of a vocal track and said, "Yes, yes. This is exactly what I want. I want the chorus to sound like it is being read by one of the voices from MacinTalk 2. I want to hear the world's most apathetic wolf howl, one so lazy and pathetic that it may as well be a yawn. In fact, yawning is a good motif. The whole thing should be as lazy and bored as possible, I don't want to take even the slightest risk that someone might here this song and feel any sort of energy coming from it, because that might encourage dancing or joy."

Yeah, yeah, I'll return to my grumpy old man corner. Sorry for coming out to bother you all.

I absolutely, categorically, could not care less. Because the charts are almost completely determined now by children and young teenagers who, to put it frankly, have shitty tastes in music.

I have a feeling Oasis will be splitting up soon.

Sharkia is winning the poll so far, but that was before I uploaded the videos.

Having seen the video to She-Wolf, I'm thinking Shakira is the top pick from that list.
