I'm liking the idea of a unified Europe, there are too many countries bickering like children on this planet for my taste.
I am beginning to think the fewer countries we have, the better off we would be... although... just because just because they are unified doesn't mean there won't be a civil war or two over small things like beliefs, culture, money, countries being "cheated" because a "lack of Favor"... that sort of thing.

Please debate.
Personally, I despise it.
Here is my reason:

The EU's dream has been to take our independence away from each European country right from the start. This can cause outrage from patriots. (like me)
The made the British people be depressed by showing the speech by Winston Churchill saying there should be a United States of Europe. However, the EU does not show that Churchill also stated Britain should not be part of it.
Dosnt it ever make you angry that about over 50% of nations rules are made in Brussels instead of our own government?
And also, the police have the right to shoot without prosecuting the criminal!

Does any of those wage you in the way to support the EU?

NO. EU stands for free trade. Which I also oppose. But not for "unification" of Europe. For it's sole purpose. Which is free trade. Which I hate.

I am against EUnification, firstly as statistics show that we put in more than we get out of it, secondly as it is about as democratic as Russia (see Juan Manuel Barroso, EU Commission President, who is unopposed for a second term), thirdly as it would strip away what's left of our sovereignty, and finally because within a few decades it would probably fall apart in a bloody civil war most likely between France and Germany.

Don't worry, France won't play ball in any EU federation, unless France gets to run the show.

Yep, NSG polls accurately reflect the opinion/beliefs/feelings of the real world population.

Like the European Union would follow the results of a forum poll in a forum with more Americans than any other country.

It depends on whether or not they want it, and whether or not they can agree upon terms on which to base it. In short, it's really up to them.

Pretty much this ^^

I'm happy enough for the EU to form a close federation of nations, I'm very much in favour of open borders and common policies, and I'm even willing to endure the buerocracy needed to manage all this.
It will never be a centralised nation state, so I've no worries at all there. :)

A very endearing sight, and as I watched, the mother otter dived into the water and came up with a plump salmon, which she subdued and dragged on to a half-submerged log. As she ate it, while of course it was still alive, the body split and I remember to this day the sweet pinkness of its roes as they spilled out, much to the delight of the baby otters who scrambled over themselves to feed on the delicacy. 54% in favour or potentially in favour?
I can live with that. You?
