Friendship and love can only lead to betrayal and suffering.

Or, you know you can be this new thing called "nice" and act as you would before the relationships begun - to make each other happy (or to stop your life being ruined - if you dont care about friends) and keep those secrets to yourself?

Fine. Tell me how to trust people. How do you know that they aren't plotting against you? How do you know that everything they say is truthful? How do you know your love or friendship will last? Every other human being is my potential murderer. I don't even trust my mother and father completely.
This is why gay marriage will destroy American families.
Gays are made up of gaytrinos and they interact via faggons, which are massless spin 2 particles. They're massless because gays care so much about their weight, and have spin 2, cause that's as much spin as particles can get, and liberals love spin. The exchange of spin 2 particles creates an attractive force between objects, which is why gays are so promiscuous. When gays get "settle down" into a lower energy state by marrying, they release faggon particles in the form of gaydiation. Everyone is a little bit gay, so every human body has some gaytrinos in it, meaning that the gaydiation could cause straight people to be attracted to gays and choose to turn gay.

Just wait until transhumanism comes along in the next few centuries.

Actually we have sex for recreation and sometimes eating too. Why would we use transhumanism to remove fun?
edit:
You'd probably use Transhumanism to remove thoughts which may lead to removing emotion like the Daleks or Cybermen, but I am not a freak who is afraid of cyborg or robot takeover, but using it to remove sexual thoughts is just wrong.
You still fail to answer why thoughts that are not acted are offensive.

You spend years getting to know a person and maybe, eventually, you'll trust them if they spent those years demonstrating that they're worth it.

I can't really tell you how to trust people. Trust is something you develop over time. You have to take a chance on people, mind you. You don't get to just look at someone from afar and go "I bet they're trustworthy" and expect it to work. There's no test a person can take that will tell you right away if it will work. The only way you get to figure out if you can trust a person is by giving them the opportunity to show you that they're worthy of your trust.

Of course, this means taking a risk and this is what you (very obviously) fear.

Four-sided Triangles wrote:I hope this topic doesn't degenerate into arguments about my view of sex.

Okay, I hold to feminism, but a very unconventional form of it. I have three positions were are all considered controversial in feminism, but none of them are universally rejected.

1. I do not think that sex is a good thing, and I do not think that women "empower" themselves through promiscuity. Women empower themselves through self-respect and through earning the respect of others.

2. I think that some degree of biological essentialism HAS TO BE true. It's absurd to suggest that there are no statistical psychological differences between the genders, given that sexual dimorphism is universal in mammals. Most men are better than most women at spatial reasoning, probably for fundamentally biological reasons. Most women are better at multitasking and verbal communication, also likely for biological reasons. Of course, these differences are STATISTICAL which means that we still have to evaluate people as individuals.

3. I don't like the language of "equality." I don't think we're all equal. We're not equal in ability. We're not equal in moral character. We're not equal in importance. I think the real way to oppose racism, sexism, and homophobia is not with the idea that we're all equal, because we're not. The real way to oppose prejudice is to hold that we should judge people as individuals, rather than according to the arbitrary demographics they happen to belong to.

What kind of feminist would you say that I am?

And no, I'm not female. I'm a heterosexual male. If that means I can't be a feminist, then what kind of feminist would I be if I held these views and was a woman?

The problem with the "language of equality" is not that it is necessarily wrong, but that it oversimplifies things. I am, as you've pointed out, better than many people at some things. Some people are better than me. I would never contend that I'm the same as a man, but there are areas where I am. What the language of equality should say is something like this. We are equal before the law, we have equal opportunity, we will all get the same recompense for equal labor and our labor will not be valued differently just because some jobs are regarded as "women's works" and others as "men's work". Truthfully, if we were evaluating properly, some so-called "women's work" like child-rearing, nursing and teaching would be regarded as superior to (and therefore better paid) so-called "men's work" like fighting wars, flying planes and driving race cars. (Interesting, though unrelated, side note here, have you ever noticed that a good bit of what is considered men's work is a lot more fun/exciting/adventurous/higher status than what is considered women's work?)

Your paranoia seems to be comparable to that of William Pierce, the author of the Turner Diaries.

If you get poisoned, then you get poisoned. Why fear of being poisoned and yet have self-loathing?

Agreed. Now kindly go get it and stop asking for our posters here to diagnose and 'prove' your views to you so you can somehow validate them via arguing against any naysayers.

Seriously, this is not a blog, and it is no substitute for the kind of help you seem to honestly need, according to the many posts, tg's and other such communications involved. And I mean that in a positive, hopefully constructive way, believe it or not.
