That's the only kind there is...well, aside from the Canadian variant, which is still just a spin-off of the same sport.

We are at my house, because one of my roommates is an Ohio State fan.

It helps that the school we attend does not have and never has had a varsity football program. And even if it did, it'd be D-2.

I just remembered that YOU can't watch football for the rest of the season :p . You promised if OU lost, you'd stop watching,

Been to the dome once, only it was a Twins-Whitesox game. Its hell for the Whitesox and its not the greatest for Packers either.

No, you were trying to be. And since I said the Vikings in my post above the one you quoted, you could infer I purple and Gold are the Vikings team colors.

Then you haven't seen the dome. The real Dome is at Vikings home games, especially Bears and Packers games.

I'm not saying your witty. I'm saying you were trying to be. Just because you try, doesn't mean you are.

Alabama at Virginia Tech; Georgia Dome, Atlanta Georgia
Note: This is the only game last night I watched. I picked up the rest, hence the resulting lack of detail in other comments.

Final Score:
Crimson Tide: 34
Hokies: 24

The Tide sealed the deal on a touchdown screen pass to Mark Ingram from Greg McElroy, to put themselves up by 10 for good. Good game though, VT. You made the Tide earn it. More than Clemson could say last year. Here's saying thanks to the Tide defense to help make an offense that needs room to build momentum have enough room to do that for the rest of the season and to pick up the slack.

Player of the Game:
ACT#22 Mark Ingram - 150 rushing yards, two TD's

William & Mary @ Virginia;

Final Score:
William & Mary: 26
Virginia: 14

Now that's just embarassing, a D-IA team losing by a two-score margin to a D-IAA team. Kudos to W&M pulling off the upset and derailing the ACC's plans for the year, or at least not making their hopes so bright.

Airforce v. Nichols State

Final Score:
Airforce: 72
Nichols State: 0

I'm guessing that things were bad for the Cadets coming onto the field. It couldn't have gotten any better from there. Ouch.

Navy @ Ohio State

Final Score:
Midshipmen: 27
Buckeyes: 31

Geez, Bucks, can you cut it any closer? You let an unranked team nearly dethrone your Big 10 'greatness'? I was almost hoping Navy would beat you out just to shut y'all up.

And you can't play like that against USC, or it won't even be fun watching you lose next week.

BYU v. Oklahoma

Final Score:
BYU: 14
Oklahoma: 13

Finally someone knocked the air out of the Big 12 windbags over there, and showed what a little bit of good defense can do for a game. Like make it interesting, instead of a shootout. Here's hoping Sam Bradford recovers, though; that's no way to start off a season.

I think that everyone will be surprised at how good Ohio State will play against USC. I know they didn't look good but stuff like this has happened before but those teams still beat the good teams.
