34 goals divided by 15 games is "3 and 4 per game"??? :palm:
and that's not including that 'champions league' where it is 10 goals in 6.

Way to take it out of context to suit your own needs. We were clearly discussing recent run of form and injuries, not the the entire season.

Im more neutral on them, I just dislike the same couple of teams going to the Superbowl year in and year out...

Im rather happy that most of them seem to be slipping as of late...

I agree that seeing the usual good teams lose is good. Seeing the Pats go down in flames recently is enough to give me a boner ;) .

Also, my Heisman Award prediction: Colt McCoy wins.

Nobody can match Philly fans in rudeness, lol. We are the fans who throw beer bottles and snowballs at refs, and regularly get in arguments with players. Philly is one of the most hostile places to play in, for both teams. We may not have the "best" fans, but we are certainly unique.

Fly, Eagles, fly,

Fight, Eagles, fight,
Score a touchdown, one, two, three,

That's probably the most impressive thing about this season. Aside from Chelsea.

Man Utd had the traditional rusty early few games, but since then they've been playing, basically, terribly. And they're still winning by several goals at a time. The demolition of West Ham is a case in point.

I don't really rate Valencia, but Anderson has been doing a great job. I really like Nani, people need to get off his back; he's an incredibly talented player, he just needs that final ball, and the final ball is always a problem for young wingers; look at Aaron Lennon!

I wish Berbatov was a midfield playmaker rather than a striker, it would suite how he actually plays a lot more.

Yeah...I'm a United fan. When I started watching football (courtesy of my Dad) Cantona played for United. That's the entire reason I started supporting them. Cantona.

My Dad's reason for supporting them was that growing up in Belfast he played park football with George Best.

I think he has a better reason than me?

Remember Belfast Celtic?

Well ofcourse you dont unless you are like 80 somthing. But they where an amazing team i wish i got to see then play...:(

I know firsthand that once I actually got someone to sit down and watch a few games (okay so I used the EPL and the Champions League, sue me :p) they actually started to like the game and found that the stereotypes were pretty false. Heck, one person I knew hated the game with a passion, and has now become one of the biggest footy fans I know. So, I really think that our problem is undoing all the negative publicity and stereotypes that the mainstream American media puts out about the game and then getting fans to the games. More advertising is definitely needed, as one of my friends is a huge footy fan, but had no idea that a national team game was being played in their city that day because there had been no advertising for it. That never would have happen anywhere else in the world.

I don't think there is a more physical league than the English League One... However the Premier League and Champs League do offer a little more creativity and attacking swagger.

Do you even know of the SPL?

Right, the transfer market is exactly what I'd like to talk about because its the middle of December and it seems like shit has already happened.

Is Sol Campbell REALLY going to Man United? I mean - won't a load of their defenders be fit by January? That seems absurd.

Not enough, really. And those that will be back won't have been back for long (i.e. are just back from injury) making them more prone to picking up another injury.

Come January...Ferdinand will (possibly) be out. Evans will be out. O'Shea will be out. Providing Vidic remains fit, that gives them one natural central defender. Campbell would be a sensible signing in that scenario.

And this American Donovan that is going to Everton? What's his point? Everton need a creative attacking midfielder for Arteta...do Americans possess creative footballers?

Landon Donovan is actually really, really good.

Arteta (who is amazing) would likely be back by mid-to-late January, and Osman should be back before the new year (as should Neville).

That at least would theoretically give them some options. God knows when Anchebe would be back for backup. Donovan is a skilful, talented, creative, attacking midfielder. Even with Arteta and Osman back, Everton need him.

Incidentally, the biggest injury list in the EPL is Man Utd; 10 players:
Rooney
Brown
Vidic
Neville
Fabio
O'Shea
Evans
Berbatov
Ferdinand
Hargreaves

Aside from the fact that the two first choice forwards are injured (although Owen's hat-trick was impressive, and Welbeck looks more impressive by the game), to have eight defenders (including almost the entire first and second choice back four) injured is arguably unprecedented.

And let's not forget that van der Sar isn't at full fitness yet...

Yeah, I'm a girl who loves football.

Evans is out till january isnt he? What about Corrie? I heard about him is he as good as his bro?

If that's a lot for soccer... wow. The average capacity for an NFL stadium is around 60,000. Some college stadiums get all the way up to 100,000-110,000.

But there are A:more soccer teams competing for fans
B:The league (MLS that is) is alot smaller than the NFL.
