Many. Very many.

I might agree that most generalites are in the Under 30 crowd, there are more than a few over 50, even over 70. Lot's of 30-50 folk in the roleplaying forums, also in the WA forums.

The real unknown is the ones who never visit the forums, the vast unknown thousands. When I came here from another forum 8 years ago, about 25 other folks from those forums created nations and played for a year or more. None were under 30. I suspect that happens more than you realize.

Indeed, I don't think I've actually played NS in any sense for 5 years.

Literally all you have to do is spend half an hour at most looking back at all the {how old are you, how tall are you, what race are you, religion, political view(s)} threads, check out the polls or calculate the quantitative results on a post-by-post basis (might want to disregard the ones without a poll), put 'em all together, and there you have it, the average NS player.

I'd do it but I'm way too lazy.

The purpose of the threads is different. This one is a get-to-know-you thread, the one I made is specifically to find out the NSG age demographic.

It really helps to have specific ages instead of just age ranges. So please, if you don't mind giving your age to the world at large (here) please go announce it there too. And vote in the poll of course.

I'm sorry that I can't just record the ages announced in this thread. Because I can't be sure you all voted in my poll. It would throw the numbers off.

It's incredibly inaccurate to think that most NS players are over 25. Generally, NSGers are in their mid-to-late teens or their 20s and either leftist or right-libertarian. Geekiness is common, and there are a lot of queer people (not in the derogatory sense, I am one).

What would be more interesting to find out is whether in Gameplay, hierarchies generally follow real western social hierarchies (people who are more outgoing and charismatic dominating the top of the chain)? Or whether the internet actually liberates people who'd otherwise be "loners" in real life? Not sure how relevant that is to NSG however.
