Postby New Sapienta » Mon Nov 14, 2011 6:49 pm

What type of goverment do you hate with a passion? For me it is Fascism, and racial nationalism. I hate Fascism because of it's comple demolishment of political freedoms, and I hate racial nationalism because it's hypocritical.

Contrary to the propaganda, we live in probably the least materialistic culture in history. If we cared about the things of the world, we would treat them quite differently. We would be concerned with their materiality. We would be interested in their beginnings and their ends, before and after they left our grasp.

Absolutist monarchy and anarchy. I'm pretty okay with fascism in comparison to most people. I don't think it'd be my first choice for government, but I don't really think it's the most terrible idea in theory.

In practice it can get a bit bumpy though.

Heh, I often slip in between my current centrist and the left-leaning college state goverments.

Anything with any racial or religious basis, and most totalitarian ideas.

Other than that...there's not much I really hate in terms of governmental systems.

Would totalitarianism count? Or is that just a description of government practices and operations?
If not, Dictatorships/Absolute Monarchies/etc. are probably the ones I hate the most.

Any that watches, harasses, kidnaps, maims or kills. For comparative purposes, those which partake of these activities to higher degree than their fellows. Despise is a far too vigorous piece of verbiage.

"Never be deceived that the rich will permit you to vote away their wealth." - Lucy Parsons
Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, citizen ownership of equity, or any combination of these. There are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them. They differ in the type of social ownership they advocate, the degree to which they rely on markets or planning, how management is to be organised within productive institutions, and the role of the state in constructing socialism.

I suppose it all depends on who's telling it to you. Some tell it like a utopia, others says it's the poor ruling, others say it's the rich ruling, some say it's all ruling, some say it's none ruling.

Anarchy is a government type like atheism is a religion.

A theocracy in pretty any form because no matter how you slice it, since it's really hard not to be completely unfair to a significant fraction of the population of just about any country with it being the general form.

At least in even some theoretical secular dictatorships, if they're done the right way, the government can function without giving a big middle finger to anyone and everyone who doesn't regard X holy manuscript(s) as sacred, objective, divine law.

EDIT: The exception here might be a very, very fluid, tolerant religion which assumes theocratic rule in a more desirable form (maybe a republic or democracy of sorts). However, I doubt this would last long or even come into being in the ideal way that I would like. Even if it did, it'd still displease many people who practice different religions or do not practice a religion at all.
