I'm interested in hearing which "side" it is that I'm on. Also, please tell us more about how the president should not be expected to do anything unless the opposition party forces him to do it.

I assume you're on the Left, against Reagan and for Obama. I could always be wrong of course. And I just said Reagan should've released the text to the press. It's funny how every other word I blurt out seems to be ignored.

If that's correct, it's quite grotesque. I suspect it isn't though. I think it's an attempt to rationalize recent batshit insanity.

There is quite a bit of name-calling in that post. Not a lot of rationale though.

'Warning people' isn't the concern.... is it?

Yes, yes it is. So teachers and board members know what they're about to play for their classes, and parents know what the hell is going on in the classroom.

You want to know what's going on in the classroom? Go stand in the classroom. Don't impose your censorship on the President, don't limit his ability to speak freely.

You want to discuss it? Discuss it.

I find it amusing that the rightwing are so keen to inhibit free speech when they don't like it.

You don't have to name anyone. You are classifying the whole idea with those names.

So you admit your concern is purely partisan?

No, though I do assert that your concern about my concern is purely partisan.

Am I going to be outspoken about Reagan giving a speech to kids? No, that only hurts my own side. It doesn't mean I'm not concerned about it though.

Am I going to be outspoken about Obama giving a speech to kids? Yes, I want to hurt his side as much as possible. Obviously I am concerned about this.

Nope, keep twisting though. My outspoken concern and concerns I keep to myself are two entirely different things. I'm concerned that I have to might wet myself right now because I've really got to go, but am I going to announce that to the world? No. Am I still concerned about it? Yes.

I've done exactly that with my child's schooling' I've availed myself of all the course material, I've sat in on classes, and analysed what my child was taught.

Curious that you seem to think that would be a bad thing, and that censoring the originator of the speech is a better option.

There's nothing 'twisty' about it.

My question was about you being partisan -

Here are your words: "No... No, that only hurts my own side... Yes, I want to hurt his side as much as possible".

Your own words convict you. You are partisan. Worse - you are SAYING you're not partisan, in the same post you openly admit partisanship.

If you can't be consistent, at least be honest about it.

Dude, this isn't Red Rover...
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.
