Mine was a uniform school, though not super strict about it. There would have been a queue to borrow uniforms from the two or three girls who were tall. And a lot of girls with shirts and pants too big.

I think it's fine, as long as it was all done in good fun and no one's feelings were hurt about anything. It does seem like a bit of a distraction, but there are plenty of those in high school without cross dressing.

Actually, there was a lot of rumors going around at my school that we were going to do this for Spirit Week a couple of weeks ago, though we never ended up doing it. It's a shame, though no one would have done it other than my friends and I perhaps. I have to admit, I guess its rather nice that I don't have to decide between playing it safe and missing out on something that would be fun, or being remembered by everyone there as "that dude that wore a dress that one day".

Anyone who did this at my school would likely be given dress code and be shunned by their peers and called "gay" I wouldn't mind myself, but then I'd just be pushed under the bus for saying that.

I had a friend who showed up every day in a dress. They showed him in the dress code and he simply responded, "nowhere in here does it say you can't wear a dress", I about died laughing, heh heh.

My high school had a gender swap day in my senior year, and one of my female friends dressed almost exactly like I looked at the time, claiming that it was a pure and total coincidence. That's about all I remember of it, aside from wearing eyeliner.

By the same token, there's nothing more hilarious than a convincing guy in drag, and watching the look on some random shmuck's face when you hear him talking to his buddies about how he'd 'so totally hit that cute chick' and inform him that the "cute chick" he's ogling is a guy.
