I drove through it once. pretty much the most boring place on earth. I also hear that there's a frightening multitude of christian fundies there, so that's another minus.

Can't say I know much about the place. I know about New York,Virginia,Texas and California but not Kansas apart from its a rural red state and it's in the midwest.
