I'm shocked, shocked, I tell you, that anyone on NSG would do that! :p

I really don't give a shit about the message to be quite honest. A youtube video isn't going to do anything to sway a person's religious beliefs.

And if it does, that person wasnt true to his religion anyway.

That is a tad close minded don't you think. Broaden your horizons a little. Atleast educate yourself on non-religous theories on the 'creation' of the things around you today. If you already have..there is no hope.

If a 10 minute long Youtube video of a guy wearing a dress while he bashes religion can change a persons religion that he has been following his whole life then he wasnt very true to his religion

Um, no, it just means he changed his mind. Doesn't matter whether or not it was a well-reasoned argument and lots of contemplation, or a poorly reasoned argument and a snap decision. Religion isn't something you have to stick with for life if you don't want to.

When you say 'I'm never' that implies you will never change your views on that particular subject. That is close minded.

Definition of close-mindedness :A closed mind (or closed-minded) is someone unreceptive to new ideas or information

This thread is like saying "Atheists look at this video, it may change your views," and then posting an episode of the 700 Club.

Attempts at persuasive arguments are NEVER aimed at the True Believer zealots of whatever belief system. All that can be expected in response from them is derision and counter-proselytizing. (As can be readily seen in this thread.) The arguments are meant for those that are aligned with said belief system, but remain there more out of inertia than from True Belief. (Usually because "I was raised a ______, and that's why I still am one today.") That is, it's an appeal to those whose thought processes go beyond, "I am right because I wouldn't believe it if it wasn't right."

Christians or any other people on NSG which beleive in a creator,
please tell me your views. :)

I loved it but it's of dubious usefulness. Most of the Christians I've met don't understand science and probability well enough for it to convince them of anything.

what the holy fucking balls is this shit. Really, parthenon, fuck you. Fuck you so fucking hard. And you know what mods? This shit really -isn't on-. You'd hand out the ban hammer so fucking fast shit would SPIN if some asshole with a problem with black people was to start being all 'damn, is that a nigger? Well there goes their argument, fucking black pieces of shit'.

BUT HEY, IT'S A GODSDAMN TRANNY, SO IT'S FAIR PLAY.

Well fuck you right in the oesophagus, you bigoted little fucks. It's shit like this that gets people killed, and complicity with bigotry that I really didn't expect to see from this site. I have fucking had it. The amount of people I've seen driven close to death... I've had friends I've never heard of again because of this kind of constant derogatory assholery. I am not going to drop this godsdamn bone until the mods acknowledge that they're going to be treating racial slurs on the same level as transphobic slurs.

And LG, really... disappointing, man. I figured you saw past this shit, but then you go flinging the he/she around.

And sadly a considerable number of the atheists on this forum don't understand science and probability well enough to get:
it is possible for the way the universe began to be determined by the laws of science. In that case, it would not be necessary to appeal to God to decide how the universe began. This doesn't prove that there is no God, only that God is not necessary. [Stephen W. Hawking, Der Spiegel, 1989]

The agnostics actually have the intellectual high ground here. Theists (of which I am one) and Atheists, both believe things for which there are no scientific proofs.
