I just explained that I deny that is something damning in and of itself. It raises too many red flags in my mind to take it seriously b/c it seems only to ever be mentioned in a contextual accusation lobbed at white people. Specific instances are different, mind you. I take less of an approving view of "white privilege" b/c it seems to exist only where you are already looking for it and b/c it seems to focus on the elevation of the white people as something inherently of their own doing while the inferior position of the other non-white races is something inherently not their own doing. It applies racism to the races being observed, and this offends me.

Black people are not worth less b/c white people hold them down. An individual man is worth less b/c he does not make himself more valuable to someone else. His race has nothing to do with it. And the theory of "white privilege" seems to say that it does. I reject that.

This happened to this woman after the war in Afghanistan started I think. At least the picture on Time did.
