can you afford a 400,000 dollar treatment, when you would recieve identical treatment 103 miles south of florida, for 398,500 dollars cheaper?

You ever heard the expression "You get what you pay for"?

Just because it's cheaper to get treatment in Cuba doesn't mean that you'll receive better care.

If you want liposuction you can either go to an actual doctor, or have one of your friends stick a vacuum up your ass and switch it to suck instead of blow.

its the same medicine, the same treatment. the "you get what you pay for" only applies to CAPITALISM

not really

I would like to see some hard evidence that it was the exact same medicine and the exact same treatment.

You can't just "take medicine" to get rid of lung problems caused by what the first responders went through. You need follow up exams and such.

And I would like to know why so many Cubans risk life and limb to come to the United States if Cuba is such a humanitarian paradise.

No, it is not the same treatment. Whether you like it or not health care facilities in America are superior to those in Cuba. Just because their healthcare happens to be subsidized by the government does not mean ANYTHING. Now, if you were to say, "I think healthcare in America would be improved by universalizing/socializing it," that would be a different discussion altogether. But socialized medicine is not somehow magically better than any other healthcare system just BECAUSE it's socialized. That's just being willfully ignorant.

The average life expectancy in the US is 78.37. Cuba is 77.70.

And I prefer to watch documentaries that have a factual basis. Which rules out about 90% of Michael Moore's work.

factual.. it showed him taking them by boat, breaking the law because of the american EMBARGO on cuba, then going into a cuban pharmacy, purchacing from the pharmacist, and interviewing the people about their medicine bills. its entirely factual..

Haha, no. A doctor is NOT a doctor, that's why we have medical licensing programs and malpractice suits. I have a question; are you actually Cuban or are you just completely blowing smoke out your ass?

in america, there is still no penalty if your patient dies under the knife. there isnt one in cuba either. since the government pays the doctors, the reason to do a good job is so that you dont get fired. russian born, live in america. cuba libre.

One of his documentaries also showed him waltzing into a bank and buying a gun. They edited out a vast majority of it to make it seem easier than it actually is.

I refuse to believe anything in that man's documentaries until they can be verified by an outside source.

Actually, in america, if someone dies because the doctor SCREWED UP they can be taken to court and stripped of not only there license, but a rather large chunk of money as well.

Because communism, my friend, is a red herring. All of the major state-run "communist" countries were just that, state-run dictatorships that called themselves communist countries. So, in essence, no one really hates communism, they just hate how it was used and then associate the term with regimes such as Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, etc.

*Raises hand* I hate communism. I actually do find the theory to be somewhat anti-human and distasteful. It's attempts to vilify competition and individuality sicken me to the core.
