I can tell you how I know I'm straight. I get turned on by women. I don't get turned on by men; even ones that are supposed to be hot. I'd imagine that it is somewhat similar for gays, but with the roles reversed.

However, I don't think anyone always feels 100% solid. There's always someone to whom a straight man will think, "I'm straight, but damn if he isn't just a little attractive," and again, the same (but opposite, obviously) with homosexual men.

I personally don't think one should ever say that they have a sexual (or romantic) identity until they've actually been in such a relationship mainly for this reason.

I can understand that. From a biologist/pre-med point of view the male body is extremely utilitarian, and, to me at least, unattractive. The feminine form is much more enticing and seems to be designed to be beautiful as well as functional.

I'd accept that few people are straight-up 0.0s, but I don't think that everyone who is not a 0.0, or a 6.0 is "bi". Realistically, I think people need to be closer to the 2-4 mark to really be "bi".
