When I boot up WIN Vista, I have to wait 2-3 min before I can log on, then another 30sec for it to load fully. The programs(esp Firefox) Take long periods(20-30 sec) to load up. The system is buggy(ignores certain commands, volume bar gets stuck, closes programs for no reason).

When I boot up WIN Me, I wait 1 min for it to boot, 15 sec after I log in, and I can use it right when I log in. I dont have to wait for it to fully start, nor does it act as buggy. I have no speed issues, Firefox(2.x, cuz 3.x isn't compatible with ME) boots quickly, and I never have any performance issues.

But that is my experience...

You must be having computer trouble. Takes me 1 min top to start up and log on, and maybe ten-twenty seconds for all of my start-up programs on Vista.

I only use windows due to the software amounts... If I could I would completely pull away and go totally Linux. But until my skills get better I'll have to stick with Ubuntu since I need Linux the easy way.

If you compare Macs and PC's, I think it is an obvious choice. Macs are really expensive, if you buy a PC that is just as expensive, it will outperform the Mac easily. Most people just think Macs are better because they compare them against cheaper PC's.

Here is just a few reasons why PC's are better:

- Gaming
- 2 mouse buttons
- Broadband works better on PC's
- Better customization
- More companies make PC's, So your not just stuck with one company
- Better media capabilities
- More Freeware
- Pain in the ass to find shit on Macs
- Don't need as much RAM
- PC's are greener

I know some people who have tried the beta say it's already better than Vista. I probably will try it, but not until the release version.

Own a laptop with windows vista 32-bit, never had any random crashes, never had a virus, bloatware isn't a problem because I either deleted it all or disabled them from running on startup. Still, I liked XP better than Vista, but I really see no reason why I should switch to mac.

You can also use a 2 mouse button mouse on a mac.
Mac's r supposed have excellent media capabilities.
Although I agree that Mac's have very limited gaming capabilities unless you get a top of the line one.

I am comparing Mac OS and Windows.

To establish that I am not a fanboy, I included that I run neither on my main computer. I do, however, have both available for my use.
