I used to spice up the readings. Make it a bit of drama or comedy or both depending on what the topic of the reading was.
It's wicked easy to turn Elijah vs Baal Prophets on Carmel into a stand-up skit. it's the funniest piece in the Bible.

I clear mine out after every 10 TGs, just to avoid that.

And I don't watch TV except for NASCAR, Parenthood, and SEC Football.

Just have to put with alot in American highschool, and college. I know they probably don't make you read 6 novels per quarter in Dutch highschool.

Uuhm. I have to read one book for Dutch, and I believe a couple of books for English. But those English books usually turn out to be tiny 30-50 page booklets.

Higher levels do have to read more, iirc.
