I'm impressed that people figured out how to make a do-nothing place into a tourist attraction in 565 CE. I thought this was a modern idea.

They have a fake dragon and it's handed over from generation to generation.

Who needs a fake dragon? Just make some claims, get some gullible people over, charge them outrageous prices for meagre meals declared "food of Nessie" and monster bait. I mean, getting a dragon head out on a boat when it's foggy and dark is hardly necessary, people want to believe it anyway.

To the people that say it couldnt be a dino because of the time period differences: Perhaps it somehow got frozen INSIDE the glacier and when it melted the dino got trapped in the LAKE.

To the people that want to drain the lake:...?

To the people that want to use heat tracking devices:
A)The water could easily distort it
B)Ever heard of fish? They got 'em in the lake
C)Cold blooded if its a dino, and then it would be pretty much the same as the water...

So, as far as I am concerned, it's possible, but it's one of those things that we will propably never find out...(Takes off human outfit and goes back into Loch Ness thinking, "Dang, how could I let Google Earth get a pic of me like that!) ;)

So there should be a decomposed dinosaur in loch Ness? Just because things trapped and glaciers come back to life on TV and in movies doesn't mean it happens in real life.

Meh, its possible. The ice wouldnt let it decompose, and the ice would freeze its blood. Since its cold blooded, when it de-thawed theres a possibility that it would come back from suspended animation.

When the ice freezes its blood (and all the cells in its body) the water in the cells will break them apart (since water expands when it's frozen).

Ah, true. But thats just ONE way it could have got there. Perhaps it survived somehow and then somehow got into the lake after the end of the ice age. There might have been massive floods after the glaciers melted.

The dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago. The last ice age was about 20,000 years ago. You're saying that some dinosaurs stayed alive for 64.98 million years after they are all supposed to have died out only to die out everywhere but one freshwater lake in Scotland which they got in due to flooding (in the Scottish highlands), presumably adapting instantaneously to fresh water (if they came in from the ocean).

Yah, in real life they gotta be struck by lightning just as they're about to be exposed to air for the first time. That's just basic biology.

There's not enough fish or other animals inside and around the loch to feed a family of giant beasts.

Have you seen that movie that came out a few years ago about it. Um the Water Dragon or whatever. That could explain some of it.
