Paddy O Fernature, a great nation founded in 2010 and one of my finest RP allies, has today reached a 23 day inactivity mark. In the unlikely event he shall ever read this, this is what I had to say to the great US Army mechanised Sergeant who was one of my best- if not the best- NS friends.

Goodbye, old friend. If you ever read this, you were one of my finest friends and a fine military ally. Personally, I wish every soldier was of your stature, and that someday I may occupy some rung in the military that you have already assuredly done previously. While I hope that you are alright, and realise you may never read this message, I felt the need to remind you that you shall always remain with me in spirit and good memories, along with the spectacular tips for cadets and support you gave me.

It was as honor.

I have no clue as to his absence; but I had hoped it was temporary. Now it seems it is not. Perhaps it may be that in a perfect universe he is simply on deployment and is going to have to squeam hos way back in through Lazarus, but I know not to hope for it. Please, leave your letters of memory for a great RPer here, and a good man indeed.

I didn't know Paddy O Fernature that long, really. I hope he's just on deployment or without internet - But in todays world, a soldier who goes missing can only presumed to be one thing.

Well, Paddy if you are leaving Permanently, I will sincerely miss you. You are one of my best friends on nation states, and I bid you good luck if you are going to be deployed, and I do hope you return in some time.

I was a member of Terra Nova for quite a while - great, great bunch. Always liked Paddy, great guy. We haven't talked in a long time, but this game won't be the same - so long.

You can definitely get your nation back after not logging in for a while. That's why the Lazarus region exists.

Also, I highly recommend vacation mode. I think I've been on it permanently for a few years.

Dear valued friends,

It was and still is, a very pleasant suprise when I logged back onto Nation States and found this thread and an inbox full of best wishes from various forum users. I am humbled by the amount of response that I received and would like to thank each and every one of you for you're kind words.

As for my extended and sudden leave from Nation States, I do not wish to go into great/personal detail, but do know that a close family member had a severe medical emergency that resulted in an extended hospitalization visit and nearly lost them on two occasions.

Due to this, I had to leave my home and do some traveling so that I could be with and support my family in this time of need.

As of right now, I have just returned to my home and am starting to get through the backlog and return to the swing of things (as they say) and will be irregular on NS for the near future.

Once again, thank you everyone for you're kind words in these troubled times. I look forward to getting back in touch with everyone.

I don't personally know Paddy O Fernature, but I know he's one of many great roleplayers here and I'm pretty sad about this

If he's really deployed to abroad, hopes he's back from the battlefield and brought us a victory.
