My family, friends, and job are not in Houston.

I may relocate there at some point. Who knows.

In any case, median housing in NYC costs 10.35 times the median household income. In San Fran, it's 10.62 times. Houston? 2.98 times.
Pretax incomes. Throw in the fact that NYC and SF are in high tax states, and Houston is even more affordable by comparison.

Shhhh you.

Sib and I take turns pissing each other off. It's my turn. :D

-edit- I would like to add that is supposed to be a joke.

Personally, no zoning would be a bad idea where I am at. Previous practices have left a few Superfund sites. We have some rather nasty crap in the ground. There was a case where somebody said "hey let's just build apartments over that site" and then screamed government oppression when the government said that has to be cleaned.

I quite liked his speech, tbh.

But I think I know which part Sib especially didn't like...

He did make some errors, that nitpickers like me would probably pick up on, but I think I quite like the larger picture he's showing.

I hear the trick is Canadian citizenship while residing in the cayman islands.
No income tax in the Caymans, no death tax in Canada, and a Canadian passport is almost as good as an American pass port for travel.
