For "that" he needed to address Congress?

Absolutely more of the same. Though this time he is a lot more presumptuous. He demanded that congress immediately pass a bill that he called 'bipartisan' 17 times. How can a bill be bipartisan when no one has even seen this bill.

This is just another stimulus bill.

But hey in a few weeks he said he will give more details of his plan. I hope he does let us know how to pay for it. When according to the president, it’s up to a Congressional committee to figure that out.

Or they could get the 535 million dollars that was given loaned to Solyndra in California from the first stimulus. I mean this company was touted by Obama as a beneficiary of his economic policy. Now it seems they have filed for bankruptcy just a week ago.

"I appreciated the chance to tour your plant and to see the incredible, cutting-edge solar panels that you're manufacturing, but also the process that goes into the manufacturing of these solar panels," Obama said while visiting the firm in Fremont on May 26, 2010.

"It is just a testament to American ingenuity and dynamism and the fact that we continue to have the best universities in the world, the best technology in the world, and most importantly the best workers in the world. And you guys all represent that," he said.

Solyndra filed bankruptcy amid hard times in the nation's solar industry. The price for solar panels has tanked, in part because of heavy competition from Chinese companies, dropping by about 42 percent this year.

Or they could expand the "fast and furious" ATF/DOJ program that worked so well in providing weapons to Mexican drug cartels. This could bring in a lot of money to the government.

I think many of the proposals in the address would help, but it doesn't matter. The Tea Party boycotted the speech, so you can imagine how they'll kill the legislation at birth.

For a group that rants about being "pro-life" they sure enjoy aborting any bill Obama tries to pass.

I also see some brilliance in how he pointed out Republicans supported the policies in the Act. It's like he's daring them to oppose and kill the bill just so he can use the "They Were For It Before They Were Against It" line on them.

Only if you use the Republican road map.

And if not government spending, then what? With specifics, please.

Government should quit trying to regulate business within an inch of its life. Zoning laws should be relaxing, and the corporate income tax eliminated. That would make USA the place to start and grow business.

Zoning laws? Yeah, you'll love it when someone starts a factory on your block. Not a big one, mind, just a smallish one that has trucks pulling up nice and early in the morning, and hammering and banging all day. Yeah. Once again, HL Mencken is proved a prophet.
