They don't pay their fair share. GE pays less in taxes than poor people do.
Boehner looked like he was staring down his nose at Obama, even laughing at him, even rolled his eyes at him. Guy comes across as a racist.

GE doesn't/didn't pay taxes.
DO you recall seeing this man during the speech (I was watching it on Fox, maybe they didn't cut to him on the other networks)?
Do you recall what Obama mentioned about his "Jobs Council"?
Do you know who is the chairman of that Council?
Yeah...
As to Boehner looking down at Obama...Maybe. Don't you normally look down on someone when you're seated above them? (NOte: Don't pay attention to the people in the photograph but how the daises/tables are arranged. See how the one Boehner and Biden were sitting at is above the one Obama was at? Yeah...)

TBH, I'm concerned more by how gray Obama's hair is...

Your point? GE doesn't but should pay taxes, and that guy shouldn't be on the council. You can't be defend what they don't pay but should. And Boehner wasn't seated above him, they are pretty much on the same level. Or maybe you misunderstood the term "look down".

What do you think happens to consumer prices when taxes are raised on corporations? What do you think happens to the workforce when a corporation's revenues are reduced? Only a liberal or a Democrat could possibly believe that raising corporate taxes has no ill effects on the economy.

Looking down is mostly based on his expressions. He came across like he was laughing at him. rolling his eye. Stuff like that, it's an expression.Occupied Deutschland wrote:Atlantian Empire wrote:Your point? GE doesn't but should pay taxes, and that guy shouldn't be on the council. I agree with you, GE doesn't but should pay taxes and Immelt shouldn't be on the council. My point was that the government is the one encouraging their bad behavior, as you put it "not paying their fair share".
And yes, Boehner is seated above him, examine any photo of Congress and you will note that the dais Boehner was seated at was above the one Obama was speaking at.

Tax cuts have done so well.......well for the wealthy class.
Let me guess more tax cuts and corp tax cuts will put people back to work right?

Nat: Night's always in some bizarre state somewhere between "intoxicated enough to kill a hair metal lead singer" and "annoying Mormon missionary sober".
Swith: It's because you're so awesome. God himself refreshes the screen before he types just to see if Nightkill has written anything while he was off somewhere else.
