Depends what you define as a "conspiracy theory".

Belief that Obama is a Muslim/Socialist/Kenyan National would qualify as "conspiracy theorist", as far as I'm concerned. So would anything having to do with Death Panels, the NWO, and many forms of climate change denial (the kind where Al Gore and George Soros made it up). Time and time again I've seen Tea Partiers carrying signs proclaiming their belief in all of the above, so I'd say yes, many of them are conspiracy theorists, or at the very least ignorant and confused enough to be taken in by conspiracy theorists.

Well all sensible well educated people know that NObama is a socialist with Obamacare being forced down our throats and wanting to tax the rich so he can "spread" the wealth to his supporters on welfare.
There is no proof that he was born in the US, that so called "birth-certificate" has been proven yet another FAKE! There are many REAL Kenyan birth-certificates, but obummer and his SS are going around destroying them.
Barrack Obama, what kind of "Christian" name is that where is the proof that he's NOT a Muslim.

Probably not, but there is a relationship between having a "faith-based" view of reality (vs. a "fact-based" view of it) and buying into conspiracy theories. I mean, when your theories deviate from reality, you need some convoluted explanation for the deviation if you want to avoid cognitive dissonance.

Stereotyped as fuck.

Although, I did make the joke last night that, if a zombie invasion were to break out, Michelle Bachmann would be the first to declare that the Democrats and socialized healthcare were the culprits.

same here. I know about 10 of them (not to mention maybe 50 that I have had argued with on the net) and to a man they believe in a bunch of goofy conspiracy theories. As far as that goes, at least two thirds of them act openly racist when there are no minorities around (how brave of them!), most make absolutely NO SENSE when discussing their political beliefs (couple of them get SSI and have medicare yet have this idiot fear of socialism, unable to understand that they currently live off of two socialist programs that they like enough to demand that no changes be made to them). 3 of them still buy the Obama birther crap, and at this time last year I think that 8 of them did (out of the 10 I know, not the psychos on the net), though thankfully only 1 of them still likes glenn beck and alex jones.

Yeah, it's just a steroeotype.

I mean, yeah sure; they've got their crazies. Doesn't everybody? Not to mention, most tea partiers I've met are sensible people just concerned for their nation's security is all.

Probably not. Most of the Tea Partiers I know get very offended at the 9/11 conspiracies. And I have never heard them speak of ones they believe in.

Most? I doubt so.

You don't need to be pants-down crazy to buy into a conspiracy theory, or at least part of it. They're sucessful because they appeal to common feelings - they satisfy the urge to see order in things, they fill a need for explanations with simple answers for everything, they make people feel like they're warriors for a good cause without having to work for it...
As we move forward in this new era, let us not repeat the mistakes of the past. Let us not suck. Let us be awesome, now and forever. Let us be friends, now and forever. We are 1 world. We all depend on each other and are affected by each other. Let us be the best that we can be and always strive to be better than we are. Let us meet all of our challenges head-on. Let us do all of this and more. We are the human race. We are the human family. Let us love each other and not fight anymore. That is my wish: total pacifism.
