It did its job, and now, it's creating more problems than ever before. To me, religion is a problem. And I want nothing to do with it.

That depends. Some religions conversely preach what could be often construed as relatively more immoral as compared to existing social norms of the ancient peoples.

Feh. You want a real challenge, try picking some civilized people. Not that I was given to handing out commandments and orders and such, but good grief! the Ung Sang-Giga could argue in circles better than an Anarcho-Capitalist asked for empirical proofs.

Well you're wrong... On all levels.
First you assume that all Anarcho Capitalists are followers of Austrian economics. For example (off the top of my head I can think of a few) David Friedman, son of Milton Friedman, is an anarcho capitalist. Another non Austrian AnCap is Bryan Caplan.

Then you assume Austrian economics is 100% against empirical proof, which is of course wrong.

I call out shit when I see it.

It's funny, I defend Anarcho Capitalism more then I actually defend my own beliefs.

Well, all religious beliefs (dogmatic or otherwise) have something going for them. I'd be interested to know what faiths or churches you have a vendetta with.

No vendetta, just lack of respect. Scientology, for one, and most of the new sorta cultish religeons. Also I'm not so hot on the Roman Catholic Church.

And what does god feel like? What about the feel makes you think "This is the presence of god." rather than "This is a strange neurological phenomenon."?

It's sensible to conclude some things about yourself from your own internal experiences. It's not so sensible to conclude things about the fundamental nature of the universe from internal experiences. That kind of attitude is similar to another kind called rationalism, and it is seriously taken to task by philosophers like Kant and Hume.

Really, you can't even conclude much about YOURSELF through internal experiences. Humans are notoriously bad at self-evaluation. Humans also tend to think that they're taking in far more of the world than they actually are. Humans have an enormously inflated sense of how powerful their minds are.

This is why gay marriage will destroy American families.
Gays are made up of gaytrinos and they interact via faggons, which are massless spin 2 particles. They're massless because gays care so much about their weight, and have spin 2, cause that's as much spin as particles can get, and liberals love spin. The exchange of spin 2 particles creates an attractive force between objects, which is why gays are so promiscuous. When gays get "settle down" into a lower energy state by marrying, they release faggon particles in the form of gaydiation. Everyone is a little bit gay, so every human body has some gaytrinos in it, meaning that the gaydiation could cause straight people to be attracted to gays and choose to turn gay.

I wouldn't go that far, personally, but their posistion is abused.
