Untrue. Laws in a democratic nation can be just as wrong as laws in a dictatorship, and when they are they should be resisted just as strongly.

So you're saying that DDoSing a website that thousands of people use to earn their living is right? It's an act of domestic terrorism, and those who are going to participate in it should spend the rest of their live in Guantanamo Bay!

Maybe the US has a secret weapon too. I think that announcing this publicly so far ahead of the attack date could be catastrophic for Anonymous. And Hippostania has a point. Would you go on a slash-and-burn rampage, destroying agricultural land and therefore people's livelihoods just because, for example, they charge too high a price for their corn?

I don't necessarily think Hippostania is absolutely right, however. I mean, I do think it's a bad idea for Anonymous to do this (why not pick, for example, the President's Twitter account?), but calling it terrorism is going a bit too far in my opinion.

Politicians need to act on behalf of the middle class-working poor NOW. If they don't disaster will strike, either in the form of cyber attacks or physical violence. I'm not advocating hacking/violent protests, but Wallstreet does have it coming to them for the way they have operated themselves for the past 30 years.

Helping the poor is not the government's duty. Awww boo-hoo, some poors are having a hard time. That's sad, but it doesn't mean the government has to start taxing the hell out of everyone and establishing socialist policies like universal healthcare and welfare.

It's coming out naturally. I just don't like it when someone claims that the government ''has to act on behalf of the poor people''. That is not the government's duty! You're responsible for yourself, you and you only. Nobody else isn't going to help you, especially not the government.

1: Subjective. Who are you, or the Western World for that matter, to say what is civilized or not? Many people would catagorize government oppression and redistribution as uncivilized. It's a legitimate position to have on the issue. Deal with it.
2: Your point being?

As to Anonymous, this I do hope they get punished/caught for. Harassing other private religions and stuff is one thing, but trying to hack Wall Street because "Dey's a steeling Ur Moneys!!!*$#@!" is quite another.

It was more the wording I was talking about. The ideology I also abhor, but I understand.

I prefer social inclusiveness, cooperation and mutual prosperity to social darwinism, extreme individualism and grinding poverty set alongside decadent opulence. But hey! I'm probably just one of those commie nutcases.

Millions of uninsured Americans, people dying from curable diseases because they cannot afford medical treatment. Even the advisor to Ron Pauls election campaign in 2008 died because he could not afford medical treatment.

How is that "fine". Compared to me who can walk into a hospital and receive treatment without worrying about how i'm going to afford it or if my insurance will cover it.

Because people who have no interest in you are forced to pay it. It's unethical to force someone to pay for your treatment, if some people want to pay for your treatment then fine. But don't force others to pay for it using taxation.
