That being said, the cops are definitely sending vagrants to the camps in an effort to make it look like there's a problem.

The Zucotti Park kitchen staff certainly went on strike because of freeloaders a couple of weeks ago. Homeless and drug addicts who came of their own volition for the good food and free weed.

Ah, the old "they're stoners" defense.

At this point in the protests, "shoved up against the wall" was code for "bumped".

Have you even watched the video? The tall white guy jacks a guard up against a wall. Under bu circumstances can it be understood as a "bump".

Wait...what? Where did I say anything about weed being bad? Merely, I referenced the fact that some uninvolved freeloaders came to take advantage of what was being offered, and abused the trust of the Zucotti park protesters.

Seriously, look at how black bloc tactics have been utilized at various anti-globalization protests. What was described sounds exactly like that particular tactic. Elicit a heavy handed response from the police in front of the cameras. That's why the WTO only meets in authoritarian countries now...because they want to avoid that sort of stuff.

Red arrow/MKULTRA presented an effort to argue for the most absurd collection of conspiracy theories. It was protracted, and lasted over a year, and survived the deletion of the first account, and the creation of the second. I don't rightly remember which poster was behind it, though...

Actually, no, I'm getting bored.... No really... Look, I know i can come off a little brash and snarky (some say its part of my charm - no really!), But, you have to understand, I have no preference or "agenda". I've dedicated my life to only one thing. The seeking of reality. And I will seek it, regardless of where it takes me. I'm a free spirit.

Look, I got nothing against you personally, but read my post again. Where in it do I deny your point of view or claim that you are wrong? I claimed you are biased (but that's not the same thing, now, is it?), and you are, but that does not mean that you were incorrect in what you claimed. In all likelyhood, you are right. However, the mop flops both ways...

Until then tootles. :D

The OWS protests are done. They had a good thing going for a while, and I sympathize with some of what they stand for, but they allowed a fringe of angry extremists and wierdos to become the face and voice of their movement, and although there were also some veterans, unemployed and others represented, they were drowned out by more raucous and radical elements. I didn't see any American flags on display, either. Why not? When you have a rally in a country as ideological as ours, you have to wrap yourself in the flag, if you want public support.
Sometimes, I wonder why you liberals allow us (the American right wing) to appropriate patriotic symbols, which rightfully belong to you as much as they do to us. Not that we don't appreciate it!
Anyway, these guys were more popular than the Tea Party, at one point, and they could have gone on to accomplish something, but I don't see that happening now. We're a media-driven culture, and OWS should have been more media-conscious- the mainstream media were generally sympathetic, as were many Democratic mayors and other political figures - and worked harder to portray themselves as ordinary Americans, but now they look like a bunch of dirty hippies and derelicts who are nothing like the average man in the street. They've lost their fight. A part of me is even sorry to see it. But, there you are.

They seem to be going for one last push on Thursday. Expect violence.
