Not really, people there could easily get a job if they just tried to get one. Or they could start their own company. They can only blame themselves for failing in life, not the government, not the corporations, only themselves.

It is only a temporary eviction, they were only removing it to do much needed cleaning.
OWS will be allowed to protest so long as they obey the rules.

They would have opened the park again already but there is a court order the City of new York needs delivered so they can read and comply with it.

No, I mean the lazy bastards living on welfare. Bankers are respectable, hard working men and women who have worked hard to achieve their current position. I respect them greatly, unlike these whiny OWS protestors.

My stance on them is neutral. However, the moment they start lobbying the government to steal money from the rich my opinion on them turns negative. Which has already happened.

This is the technology adoption lifecycle.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... ecycle.png

Not couched in the terminology of political movements, but I think the concept is relevant to OWS. We are looking at the movement as being one that has reached the crisis at the chasm, and it's up to the movement to figure put a way to cross the chasm. My instinct is that they need to make some changes to the structure of the movement. Strip out the ambiguity and provide a stronger, more cohesive and coherent framework that's going to provide an actual programme--and not just a series of collections of ideas from various different individuals and groups associated with the movement.

So that kind of anger is restricted for just OWS and similar. Gotcha. Feel free to file me under "bleeding heart socialist".

Is say that the counter-culture is a case study in a failure to cross the chasm, actually. They were going up against New Deal Liberalism, by and large, which was in the late majority adoption phase, and just couldn't win the converts--although they helped scotch liberalism so utterly, that the next several decades were Nixon, Reagan, Clinton and Bush. (Carter was a fluke, a response to the Nixon pardon).

Right now, the Tea Party could scotch conservatism for decades, and I've been suspecting that they're in the process of doing so. It would be so odd, though, if an OWS movement were to prove capable of scotching liberalism at the exact same time.

Bloomberg is an intelligent person. These people do not obey the police, they break laws and then whine about the first amendment. In my opinion, we shouldn't let any of these people anywhere near Zucotti Park ever again. We should just kick them out of Manhattan. They have achieved nothing but pain and suffering to ordinary Americans.

Also, the claims that ''most Americans support the OWS'' are bullshit. For example, look at the comments in this article. There are barely any pro-OWS comments there. Same with dozens of other news articles. The liberal media is once again trying to lie to the American people, but real Americans know that only a very small, loud and angry minority actually supports the OWS.

Explain the large taxation rates and general prosperity of 1945-1973 in the USA and Western Europe then.

In the US it is simple we were the only functional large economy after WWII in the 1950's, In the 1960's we established the Breton Woods Trading/Currency regime.
This times much more closely with said decline, as we ended Breton woods in early 70's, we did not significantly cut taxes until the early to mid 1980's. Your proposed reasoning require ignoring an entire decade of Data.

Furthermore, why is it the US post higher growth rates than Europe (since the 1980's). If it is as you say higher taxes = better Economy Europe with its significantly higher tax rates should out perform the US not the other way around. As such your proposed solution ignores contemporaneous reality as well.

Not just Sanitation also public safety. the park was becoming over crowded. Also should occupying the private property of someone else be considered Free Speech ?

For instance can me and 20 people set up camp in your front lawn to protest Korean immigration policies ?

First of all, even if they were/are a minority, they do have the right to protest. Even if there were only 40 of them they are ordinary Americans. As for having people fail and succeed based on there own merits, People need to be given the chance in order to succeed. I think welfare and the uch needs to be highly controlled, but I think the government does play a role in protecting and aiding its citizens.
