I agree. I've never, ever been to the emergency, despite having had great insurance and a couple of potential health misadventures.

Well I was hit in the face with a golf club other then that i've had no major incidents that forced me to go to hospital  Although I have the NHS

He is so ridiculous I stopped reading his posts a while ago, get used to just having to skim over them. I have never met someone so inflammatory with their ACTUAL beliefs. :o

You've known me for less than two days; and stop with the libel. I'm sorry (well, not really) if my beliefs offend you; but get used to it. Not everyone's a leftist.

Yes, actually. I'm not sure why; he is far from a National Socialist. I will speak to him on the subject.

The entry has it's flaws, and the author as I know him can tend to get gather angry about things; but I believe the overall point is sound. These people act like they're an oppressed, huddled mass with no hope when in fact many of those people are fine as they are. Occupy Wall St. and the 99% Movement is infested with people who think things should be handed to them on a platter; and it is ridiculous.

To be fair, there has been (or at least was pre-recession) a complete over-emphasis on college degrees and (this is the stereotype joke that has the kernel of truth in it) too many people majoring in "Communications" and other such areas where the job prospects were less than promising. (Or, the one that gets my goat, going to college and majoring in entrepreneurship or the like. What a joke).
College became too much of place to go for people after high-school for four years because they assumed a degree would get them a job right out of the gate (and not any job a "good" job).

And to quote Linkara from his excellent review of that godawful Future Five comic, here's a list of people who either dropped out of college, or never attended at all:
    Quentin Tarantino
    Steve Jobs (RIP :( )
    Frank Lloyd Wright
    Dan Aykroyd
David Bowie (You can lose your virginity just by looking at His Area. You have been warned.)
    Patrick Stewart
    Rosa Parks
    Stan Lee

Golf club seems fair reasoning. I had my parents health insurance until college, when I had no cost to me healthcare, and now I have super low cost employer provided.

Except that you used 8 people an examples; one of which (Rosa Parks) doesn't even count. It would take days to list the millions of people who have lived shit lives because they never went to college. The exception proves the rule.

The point was that a college degree does not guarantee success, nor does the absence of it guarantee failure.

It's the frustration of the people.

One of the justifications for the bailouts was that it would free up money that the banks would then use to give to small and large business in order to keep the circulation of money in the economy. What do you get in return, massive profits and record breaking bonuses however no major increase in lending.

You need to give more tax cuts to the richest in society. They won't hoard their wealth or spend it on extravagant and useless toys they'll use it to create jobs. I mean they are the "job creators". What do people get in return for these tax cuts. Oh unemployment is still massive and their are not enough jobs to go around and they appear to be flaunting their wealth on toys.

Well that's just Prime.

Do they really? I mean sure they have influence but i HIGHLY doubt they decide what goes on, otherwise why would corporation be complaining to the government about taxes and shit?

Wow you mean large groups of people with alot of money can do things with their money that people without money can't? How scandalous and unprecedented!

no, i'm talking about corporations, if corporations have so much power why do they need to complain at all to the government when they can easily manipulate it?

The group with the largest amount of money should not have the largest amount of influence in politics. Politicians need to be elected on merit not who has the best advertising budget.

Taxes on individuals, our corporate tax is really high which is exactly what you expect in a system where people control the government and not corporations.

You know what separates you from a corporation? They have more money to support a candidate. Politicians have never been elected on merit because following the ideologies and voting records of politicians at every level of government may as well be a full time job people voting for the candidate with the best advertising isn't the corporations controlling the government it's people basing their decisions on the information they have.
