2016- Muslims begin to 'dissapear. Officially, this is said to combat terrorisim, but there are doubts.

2023- NASA is privatized.

2024- First manned mission to Luna begins. A Far-Right terrorist group blows up a mosque in Iowa. Is downplayed by the media.

2026- First artificial intelligent robots are constructed. First Luna Colonies are established.

2035- First manned mission to Mars, launched from Luna.

It's notoriously hard to make predictions of any meaning. Consider the following.

In 1900 London was the capital of the world. Europe ruled the eastern hemisphere. Europe was at peace, and enjoying unprecedented prosperity. European nations were interdependent on each other due to massive trade and investments. Very serious people claimed that war in Europe was no longer possible, due to the trade, investment and interdependence that has created. The most logical prediction of the time would be that a peaceful, prosperous Europe would rule the world.

Fast forward 20 years. Europe has been torn apart by what was thought to be impossible. Millions had died. The Austro-Hungarian, Russian, German and Ottoman empires were gone. The was ended when a million Americans intervened. The United States and Japan emerged as great powers. Russia was now dominated by socialism, and it was hard to tell if it could survive. The peace treaty imposed on Germany was a recipe for one very easy prediction. Germany would not emerge as a great military and economy power any time soon.

20 more years. Not only did Germany reemerge as a great power, it conquered France and dominated Europe. The Soviet Union, still socialist, survived and was allied with Nazi Germany. Great Britain stood alone against Germany. To any reasonable person, the war was over. Prediction? Germany would dominate Europe for the next century or more.

Fast forward another two decades. Germany had been crushed in that war. Europe was split between the US and the USSR. European empires were collapsing. The US, and the USSR were competing to become the next superpower. The US, dominated the oceans, and had a nuclear arsenal to annihilate anyone in a matter of hours. The cold war, was heating up.

Two more decades. The United States had just lost a seven year war. Not to the Soviet Union but to North Vietnam. It had been kicked out from Iran, and it's oil wells looked certain to fall into Soviet hands. The Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, and occupied Kabul in just two days. It was surging, and the United States was in decline.

A couple of more decades. The surging Soviet Union has completely collapsed. China is now a capitalist nation. NATO has advanced it's reach into Eastern Europe.

Crime trend in America is downwards, has been for two decades. I don't live there, but I'm not sure you're going to be seeing a massive upswing - a small increase, maybe, but not a "dramatic" rise.
