I learned the east coast had an earthquake. Minimal damage. Maybe now they'll realize what a non-issue they are. All you need are strict building codes in high risk areas and moderate ones elsewhere.

I never felt the Earthquake and it hit my area too.

I live in CA we have them all the time (Though no where near as often as some people from elsewhere think) and I've only ever felt two or three.

I've never read it, but I can't say I agree with its message or like its themes.

Actually, it was written from a point of view that was highly secular. It just sets the tone in a very religious way to get the reader to feel empathy for what the characters would have been feeling and experiencing.

It's not entirely fictional. A lot of the details of Jesus's life are supported by other contemporary sources. The old testament, not so much.
