To be honest, wouldn't make a difference. Obama's presidency didn't wipe out the gap between how well-off blacks and whites are or racial discrimination. A female prez wouldn't do a whole lot for women either.

Lol what was the thought process involved here, "welp we have a half-black president, let's watch those statistics fix themselves!"

Not sure what "doing a whole lot for women" would mean, do you mean like the stuff in the Mississippi abortion thread?

Clinton would have been fine last time, but she'll be getting up there in age by the time she gets another crack at it.

I don't think the US will have a female president for a really long time; sexism is too prevalent.

I would move to the US just to vote for her (and then promptly leave until she has fixed everything that's wrong with that country).

Rosie Huntington-Whitely is not an American citizen and cannot be elected President.
Megan Fox, while attractive, doesn't seem to be the brightest bulb in the box.
Sarah Palin may have a little more in her head than Megan Fox.
Hillary Clinton, while intelligent, is simply too likely to further increase the polarization of American society (and her personality is also somewhat annoying).
Nancy Pelosi doesn't seem to be sufficiently capable or self-confident.

A few years ago, I would have suggested Diane Feinstein, but at this date, she's a bit too old and could possibly pass away before a single term expired.

I'm ashamed to declare that I can't think of a single worthy female candidate. As a woman, I certainly have nothing against the idea of a female President, but when faced with the prospect of any of those who have run in the past and/or are likely to run in the next campaign, nobody I can think of has enough appeal to me to win my support. Then again, if a woman did win the nomination of her party, I would have to consider her positions on the issues, as well as whomever her opponent would be (and as sad as it is, American politics almost invariably provides only two realistic choices, who are usually very similar; Third-Party candidates usually cannot gather enough support to win the office of President of the USA, although I hope that, in time, two Third Parties will successfully dethrone both the Democrats and the Republicans, and then, perhaps, we can finally see legislation to end the "Two Party System").

Olympia Snowe would be a good candidate, but then she doesn't seem to be running this time (and imagine the screams of RINO if she did), and she'd be 69 by 2016.

I'm not going to vote for a woman just for the heck of it. I'll vote for her because I like her policies, or, in the current climate, because she's better than the alternatives.

I'd so go for that ticket.

Although Zombie!Emma probably would refuse the nomination, seeing as she was an anarchist and had quite a few things to say about electoral politics. Although perhaps her newfound craving for brains would override her political beliefs, along with most of her cognitive processes.
