My mistake. I do know how the Senator's name is spelled, and you are quite right in your correction. Everyone makes a typo once in a while, and it's always good to have them fixed. Thank you.

It was picky, but spelled the way you had it might have people thinking you were talking about some WW2-era superhero, Sgt. Luger. ;)

He's a weakling. I knew he would drop out at some point.

And during the debate, I found him excruciatingly irritating. "Let's continue to attack Mrs. Bachmann! Oh, this question isn't about her? I don't care, I'm changing the subject because I've run out of things to say. TROLL."

As for this gay teen, good for him. His courage is commendable... I suppose.

But I guess that's just the eighty year old man in me.

right. cause the kid first and foremost needs to show respect for someone who says he is a sexual deviant and is going to hell. you sir are..... i just cant put into words how stupid i think you are.

Actually, someone who disrespectfully attempts to debase their opposition will be respected less as a result. Would you side with someone who said that they strongly agree with something, or someone who cursed at anyone who disagreed with it? Also, I can't stand hecklers, campaigning against someone is one thing, but if your only contribution is attacking someone else then I will have no respect for you whatsoever.

Have you noticed that people who whine get much less for it than those who stoically protest? Gandhi, the civil rights movement, and so forth were successful because people saw that they were oppressed but that while they knew they were oppressed and very much wanted equality and freedom (Depending on the movement one might be more prudent than the other) they did not resort to violence or name-calling.

Since you've already called someone stupid beyond words for having a different sentiment than you, I feel this post will likely be attacked in a similar way or ignored.

That's actually a good thing. We don't want to split the progressive vote, and Obama will be making himself look much better to the whiners in his own party over the next year.

Why? Dividing the party in an election year is never a good political move if it can be avoided.
