But I guess that's just the eighty year old man in me.

Well, Huntsman isn't so bad...

Romney isn't that bad either. Too bad they're both having to backtrack the good stuff to look just as insane as the others.

That's the problem with supporting a "moderate" Republican. The individual may be fine, but his or her election would bring the radical right to power as well. And why is Huntsman even a Republican? He sounds more like Blue Dog Democrat.

It's sad when supporting civil unions and not wanting to immediately blow up the federal government makes one a conservative Democrat.

It seems as if the GOP has become the SDS. Great Caesar's Ghost, that's it! The Leftist radicals of the 1960s and 70s have infiltrated the Republican Party and take it over!

Huntsman won't drop out until after the New Hampshire primary.

None of the candidates are prepared for confrontation. The majority of the Republican candidates simply have never been very exposed to opposition in their face. Mitt Romney, being from Massachusetts, has been exposed to this, but now just succumbs to the majority (like RomneyCare). Rick Perry, we'll just have to wait and see. He seems to think he is a rock star to everyone.

I don't know. Bachmann and Paul are serving members of Congress and have stood for election more than a few times. Huntsman was elected Governor of Utah twice. Gingrich had a long career in Congress, too. I doubt a fear of confrontation is the problem. Looking foolish in front of the cameras is more like it.

I'm a Democrat from Indiana, and I have the greatest possible respect for Senator Richard Luger. He's bucked the Republican party hierarchy on multiple occasions, and he has done a great deal of good as a politician. Not only do I think he's a moderate, but he has my full support.

No, he's not running for President. He couldn't; he's much too reasonable to win the support even of most moderate Republicans. But he's a longstanding Senator from Indiana, and it is in that capacity that he has my support.

I actually support Michele Bachmann. Well, it's mostly because she is of Norwegian origin, but she still have many ideas I agrees with.
