You realise that marriage is something the government is involved in? You need a marriage licence from the state to get married. So you think the government should have the position "we'll give marriage licences to anybody to marry whatever they want"?

What does religion have to do with anything? My parents were married in an atheist ceremony almost 40 years ago, and their union is as recognized as that of the Catholic couple who live up the street.

Both might be sexual preferences, but homosexuality has the added benefit of informed consent. Biiiiiiiigggg difference there.

I think I explained both already.
Lets not make this circular and you can go troll someone else.

So, no source then? You're admitting that gays weren't offered the exact same rights and privileges that heterosexual couples have?

And, no, you didn't explain how an animal is expected to give informed consent, and you didn't explain how the family of the deceased feelings play into the scenario. Furthermore, I am not trolling. I've been polite, given you every chance to make a logical, coherent argument and I've asked for clarification on your stance numerous times before making a further comment. I don't see how any of that is trolling.

You haven't explained a thing.
You made an argument (very poorly) and now the burden of proof for that argument is on you.
It's not someone else's responsibility to disprove your claims. It is up to you to prove them.
That is how a normal discussion works. You do know how to have a normal discussion, don't you?

Then may I ask you all to provide sources of all your claims?
Because thus far I have not.

Marriage licenses are given by the state, not the church. Religion is irrelevant. No one is arguing that churches should be forced to marry gays against their beliefs. Non-religious marriage is a thing that exists.

http://www.freedomtomarry.org/states/

I count 6 states, plus Washington DC, where gay marriage is legal, and seven states where there is a civil union. A whopping 24 states actually have anti-gay legislation in place, and a further 7 where there is no protection for same-sex couples. Yeah, I'd say that same-sex couples are discriminated against in America.

EDIT: Seems others have already provided. No need to break out "Let me google that for you".

How can stupid people be discriminated against? Stupid isn't a social group and is genrally subjective for the peoples intelligence.
