I'd be willing to make a sacrifice play, take one for the team and go on a date with Michelle Bachmann. Maybe if we get the bitch laid, she'll be a little less uptight about her McCarthy worship and advocation of armed revolt against liberals.

(psst! You were supposed to say "no, no, we can't let you do that! No man should be made to suffer that much!")

I suspect the aliens would require the other person to be capable of thought, and not simply be someone who is famous for being famous. Besides, how to you know that when Paris says, "I'm conservative," she doesn't mean that she's started recycling and really means, "I'm a conservationist"?

I'd take a deep breath and pick Ann Coulter for the romantic date (not that she'd go out with little old lesbian me, I suppose). For the person I'd let the world take a flying leap ... Glenn Beck, myabe or Sean Hannity (though I would like to ask him what happened to his offer to be waterboarded).

I am libertarian with some centrist tendencies in business (in rejistanian: erid'he jasika, and erid'he linux), a privacy and OpenSource friend, oh, and an atheist.

I don't know the political leanings of most celebrities, so I have to stick to politicians. That said: I can imagine to go on a date with Gregor Gysi despite him being way older than me.

One of the Westboro Baptist Church members as date partner would make me say no, despite the consequence. So would Chuck Norris.

Incidentally, it is difficult as a male left-winger to note prominent female right-wingers outside of the US. I'm sure many exist, but I would struggle to name any, and I suspect that is not entirely due to my inattention.

Margaret Thatcher? Pretty much the only example I can think of, off hand.

Hmmm... Closest I can think of here in Japan would be Makiko Tanaka, but she's more a typical LDP kleptocrat than a serious righty.

Are we supposed to poison them or something on the date because I could totally slip something into Anne Coulter's drink.

So, you're saying it would be okay for me to choose a rightwing guy to date and try to kill him during the dinner if I felt the urge (like, if he wouldn't shut up ever)? That opens up the choices considerably.

after all, what would aliens know about our dating habits? :p

"yes, it's perfectly normal way to end a bad date. tho I'd admit that running over his shot, stabbed and impailed body 23 times was a bit much... I just wanted to be sure he got the message that the date was over."

I'd encourage them to team up for whatever they want. Two of the most comical figures in modern entertainment teaming up? Everyone gets a laugh, and they take it to the bank.

If it works, more power to 'em.

Stimulus is stimulus, after all. And Ann Coulter trying to milk a cow ... priceless. Especially is Paris is standing there giving instructions, 'cause, you know, she did that with Nicole back on that other show.

I'm just a little sceptical of politicians. That said, I'm a fascist if I have power and a Libertarian if I don't. Who do I get paired with?

Well, if anyone knows anything about squeezing nipples it ought to be Paris Hilton. Worst case scenario Mann Coulter can pretend it's a liberal cow and suck it dry.

I think what we've learned tonight is that it is far more difficult for a rightwinger to be sexy than a leftwinger (*thinks of George Clooney, Arch-Liberal, and melts slightly*). I believe this is because the extreme rightwing espouses a very negative and unfriendly worldview, and excessive negativity and unfriendliness make a person unattractive.

EDIT: We've also learned that, liberal though I am, I don't value the whole of humanity enough to date a guy I wouldn't want to bang. ;)

Sorry, I thought you were making a blanket statement on all of the "Right Wing", not just the men. I mean, just look at your post.

Y, you've got to stop quoting Muravyets. When you do, I have to look at what she's said, which defeats the whole purpose of a key setting on this board.

But since I've actually had to read it, I will admit that it made me  It's obviously an unconscious caricature of the archetypal self-righteous, arrogant leftie b*tch.

The fact is, conservatives as a whole are more tolerant, more charitable, and far better lovers than self-righteous, arrogant leftie b*tches. Although speaking for myself, if I found myself matched by aliens with anyone even remotely resembling a self-righteous, arrogant leftie b*tch, I don't care if she looks like Carrie Prejean and screws like Jenna Jameson, as far as I'm concerned she might as well be a tattooed crack whore with terminal AIDS. In which case, it'd be a bad day for humanity.
