Yeah, Germany should've succeeded so that no one that is homosexual, polish, slovak, or jewish can walk out of their houses. A piece of German history no one should be proud of, and no one should support that Nazi Germany should've prevailed. At least not in the state it is in.

I believe the Nazi Party wasn't responsible for the killings of the other races. I believe that was the beliefs of Hitler alone, not the thing the Nazi Party was based around.

I can refer to it as i want my German Nazi heritage i am proud of. I do not like how they murdered so many jews but yet Stalin killed more of his own people the communist were worse the Nazis still evil at some extent and because of Hitler led to the downfall of them. If I remember correctly the IRB were the original ones, who started the 1916 I believe uprising in Dublin and I think they eventually won independence for Southern Ireland, my History of that time isn't too great.

Secondly, The English had a reasonably solid ancestral claim to the French throne, as far as I am aware.

When Philip IV of France did in 1314, he had three sons and a daughter; the French Capetian line of succession seemed secure.

But each of those three sons - Louis X, Philip V, and Charles IV - died in turn without male heirs (Louis X was succeeded by his posthumous son John I, but John died after less than a year). Louis X's daughter Joan was seen as unfit to become queen due to suspicions regarding her true paternity, and Philip V's invocation of the hitherto almost-forgotten 6th century Salic law which said that women were barred from succession to the Frankish throne.

When Charles IV died, he left a daughter and a pregnant wife; that child would also turn out to be a girl. The last child of Philip IV was his daughter Isabella, who had married Edward II of England; whatever Mel Gibson and and Christopher Marlowe would have you believe, there is no reason to cast doubt on the legitimacy of their son Edward III (certainly no one did at the time; and for the record, Edward III was born years after William Wallace died).

Under strict primogeniture, the two leading candidates for the French throne were now Louis X's daughter Joan, now Queen Joan II of Navarre (which had no bar on female monarchs) and Charles IV's nephew Edward III. But Joan lacked the political power or will to try and enforce her claim, and was in any case undermined by the doubts over her legitimacy and her uncle Philip V's invocation of Salic law. She would later give up her claim, recognising Philip VI as King of France in return for recognition of her position as Queen of Navarre.

Under English laws of succession, Edward III therefore clearly had the the strongest claim. But the French nobility were unwilling to accept an English king, and remembered Philip V's use of Salic Law to bar Joan. As the Salic Law not only banned female succession, but also succession through the female line, this meant the leading Salic candidate was Philip of Valois, nephew of Philip IV through the latter's younger brother Charles of Valois. Philip had also rather conveniently been made regent on the death of his cousin Charles IV. As soon as Charles' posthumous child was revealed to be a girl, Philip was crowned as Philip VI.

But to many outside of France, Edward III's claim was clearly superior, especially since most people had completely forgotten about Salic Law until Philip V had invoked it against his niece Joan.
