The Vatican has recalled the Papal Nuncio (how I was tempted to write that as Papal nonce) to the Vatican following the publication of the Cloyne Report on how the Catholic Church handled (covered up) child abuse by priests in Ireland. The Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny launched a strong attack on the Church in the Irish Parliament following the reports publication.

Now is this a sign that the Church is actually finally being about to face up to its actions or is it simply a continuation of its past attitude that the Church's reputation is more important than any number of children? Personally I feel the Church will never stand up and take full responsibility for the abuse and the cover up that followed.
