Interesting. Their conclusion for the window they examined? Twenty-three of the twenty-four were domestic terrorism. One white supremacist firebombing a synagogue, and twenty-two eco-terrorism activities. And eight of the fourteen actions that were prevented were also rightwing groups - white supremacists, militias, anti-abortion. Of the remaining two prevented actions, one was an anarchist trying to blow up the coast guard, and one was violence against Muslims.

Also, the highest incidence of terrorist activity was 1982, apparently entirely rightwing or leftwing extremist domestic actions.

So... yeah, Islamic 'terror' is a massively overblown threat. The pretense that terrorism is (or has been ) an Islamic phenomenon, and that non-Islamic terror is the rule, rather than the exception... is just that. Pretense.
