The poor, ugly, thick underside of the Labour movement that has largely been ignored by mainstream politicians since Callaghan's day, and that's for the best.

St.George obviously is an adherent of the old system were Nazism is far-right and Communism is far-left, the modern way is to use two axes instead of one illogical one.

But the EDL does not have a political platform. It consists of people from all over the spectrum.

They have enough of a political platform to be comparable socially with Neo-Nazis.

But the EDL does not have a political platform. It consists of people from all over the spectrum.

A group does not have to have a political platform to support a specific wing within politics, especially in the social perspective.

The Industrial Workers of the World for instance is a highly left wing internationalist organisation that supports anarchistic and socialistic views. Yet it is not a political party.

On the other end of the spectrum, the german Freikorps during the Weimar republic were not alligned with any particular government force, yet they stood as mercernaries only willing to fight for parties that reflected their traditionally right wing values.

In teh same way, in terms of social policies anyway, the EDL is indeed akin to Nazi Germany as it takes both a "populist" stance in terms of authority and is heavily racially oriented.

Contrary to the propaganda, we live in probably the least materialistic culture in history. If we cared about the things of the world, we would treat them quite differently. We would be concerned with their materiality. We would be interested in their beginnings and their ends, before and after they left our grasp.
