E. Coli kills people. Here's an article on it. Particularly pay attention to the part about unpasteurized fruit juice. So yeah, if they used the bathroom and didn't wash properly while preparing or selling this, people could get very sick.

Probably less risk than if you've touched the handle of a door in a public place, realistically.

(Or used the drink machine in a McDonalds, for example.)

At least with the lemonade stand, you've got some data. You know what the product is supposed to be, and who is supposed to have been involved - and can make a little bit of a value judgement.

This includes plumbing, electrical, drywall & insulation, had to make sure that my facility was up to code for the DOT, Fire Department, etc. Had to be inspected by the City, County, AND State. and then I get surprise visits from the State at random intervals. All in all, it took six months to get my current facility up and running.

And the possible alternative is that you build a badly concieved death trap with faulty wiring, plumbing, etc that the government has to deal with if it goes wrong and can damage other buildings or people, I don't see what the big deal is.
