aye, wouldn't that do bad things (tm) to the weapon, increase fouling of the barrel, likelihood of jams, etc?

Not really, it's off as easy as replacing a part, which anyone with a basic knowledge of machining can do

Hell, I can find how to guides, readily available., most modifications can be done after market, and some of them are even legal.

I would go with the other guy's 6 links over your 1 any day. Also, that site you linked to has virus infested advertisements. Just thought you might want to know. I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THE LINK; IT HAS VIRUSES.

I really do not give a crap about people massacring people with guns in a society that allows its citizens to have weapons.
A lot worse has happened to people without guns.

To ensure you are free.
To ensure you will be protected a certain amount of personal responsibility is needed and weapons that are appropriate for the circumstances.

I know most people in NS likes getting free stuff over freedom because they want everything handed to them by the government and they have a direct correlation with each other.(freedom and free stuff(no such thing as free stuff someone is paying for it))

I am still for guns.
Also just for the hell of it:
from wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Ame ... nstitution

Meaning of "well regulated militia"

The term "regulated" means "disciplined" or "trained".[103] In Heller, the U.S. Supreme Court stated that "[t]he adjective 'well-regulated' implies nothing more than the imposition of proper discipline and training."[104] Regarding a well regulated militia, Alexander Hamilton wrote in Federalist No. 29:

A tolerable expertness in military movements is a business that requires time and practice. It is not a day, or even a week, that will suffice for the attainment of it. To oblige the great body of the yeomanry, and of the other classes of the citizens, to be under arms for the purpose of going through military exercises and evolutions, as often as might be necessary to acquire the degree of perfection which would entitle them to the character of a well-regulated militia, would be a real grievance to the people, and a serious public inconvenience and loss.[46]

Regarding regulation and training of the militia, Alexander Hamilton wrote in Federalist No. 29:

"If a well regulated militia be the most natural defence of a free country, it ought certainly to be under the regulation and at the disposal of that body which is constituted the guardian of the national security...confiding the regulation of the militia to the direction of the national authority...(and) reserving to the states...the authority of training the militia".[46]

You don't really need a link to file down or remove a trigger sear to make it slamfire. By doing that, you've illegally modified a rifle to be fully automatic, and only fully automatic.

Making automatic weapons, believe it or not, is easier than making semi-automatic weapons.

Depends on the powder load.

he quite clearly is capable of firing things out of it, but the video is misleading. It really appears to be nothing more than a glorified airsoft gun.

A lot of people forget that the FAWB has expired, and automatic weapons are back in business legally. You'd be surprised what loopholes there are in gun laws, as well. This guy on YouTube calling himself FPSRussia regularly (and legally) plays around on his property with such monstrosities as a fully-automatic Glock 17 with a high-capacity magazine loaded with incendiary rounds. Or, if you're really going the "fuck it" route, a 40mm Bofor.

Funny story about that guy, his name is Kyle and he's from Georgia (from the info I've found out), and regularly borrows many of those NFA items from a local Class 3 dealer, or rents them when he's at the indoor range (although I hear he does have a decent firearms collection as well).

I am so glad that measure didn't pass in CT (they tried to pass it in response to the AZ shooting), because I would have the lost hundreds of dollars that I have invested in my 12 30 round AR magazines, 2 25 round 10/22 magazines, and 5 "high capacity" magazines for my Glock (4 17+2 round magazines, and 1 31+2 round magazine).

I, personally, prefer knives. Most of them are small, and depending on the size, some aren't necessary to show. It does not require a license to carry a knife, and if larger than 3 inches, it just has to be showing. One can carry a buck knife, as long as it is in it's belt sheath.

You still need a Concealed Carry permit for knives over 3 inches that are hidden on your person. Some states require a permit for carrying knives like that in the open, but I don't have a list of em handy.

Plus, knives lack the range, and require far more skill and guts to use. I was in a knife fight once as a kid. Scared the crap out of both of us when we both scored a hit, and they were superficial slashes. Cant imagine how hard it would be to push a knife into somebody.

Different mindset back then. They were hardened to it a lot sooner then we were, if we ever became hardened to something like that. They were also probably a lot stronger then us. Can you imagine swinging a 10 pound sword for hours on end?
