A goal in the 89th and two in stoppage? Come on City, no need to run up the score. I know the table is crowded at the top and goal difference might matter later, but why not just hunker down in the attacking corner like you're supposed to when you're cruising to victory?

Doesn't match fixing often work by a player on the team that is supposed to lose going out and doing something rash trying t get sent off?

United embarrassed. United fans will come up with a lot of excuses, oh the red card, oh you have money.

I don't care.

We beat you fairly, we beat you with you having a pretty much full-strength side (you didn't have Vidic, fair enough - but apart from that..). We were just better in every area. The red card was a red card, no denying that either - it was a foul.

Never felt more like singing the blues quite honestly.

It was already fouled.

Now look:
Rooney fouled in the box-- no penalty
Welback fouled on breakaway- no red
Lescott offside on the 4-1 goal- no call
endless soft fouls that we get booked for, city can go in 2 feet up and t's not even a foul.

The cause of all this?

a few million dollars.

The fact that it was already fouled doesn't mean that the ref can't book Evra.

The ref didn't call a penalty on Balotelli in the second half either.

He was pretty unbiased overall. Of course, I only saw the first half, so maybe I'm not entirely correct, but in the second half, he was pretty unbiased.

I also don't remember seeing the offside on the 4-1 goal...

There was, Balotteli was fouled outside the box, your ignoring the welback foul, and also after united gave away a foul city kicked the ball away and there was no card, and again my last point.

@ Hossaim, you're being a stereotypical United fan right now. You've been humiliated by the better side (we were 1-0 up before the sending off, so y'know - we were already winning and the sending off was fair), and now you're making excuses for it. You played badly, Anderson and Carrick particularly so and we won because we were better. I accept the fact that foreign investment has helped us massively in this, but you have foreign investment from all over the world because of your fans from all over the world - so you have money too.

We were just better, the sending off just helped us dominate the game.

All we need know is QPR to put about four or so more past Chelsea, and Newcastle have got a perfect weekend. Hopefully the result puts Man U off form for a month or so, we'll need all the help we can get when they face us.

QPR is only up on a real soft penalty, though. Chelski have been pretty dominant throughout. They'll get some goals today.

I doubt QPR's going to put in any more than 2-0.

I also doubt that Man U's going to go off form for a month. Indeed, they're probably going to play excellently in their next game in an attempt by Ferguson to save face.

Up next they've got Aldershot in the Carling Cup, but the next real match is away at Everton next weekend. Not the easiest of trips to make.

Four of Newcastle's next five league games are horrible: Stoke away, Everton at home (the easiest), Man City away, Man U away and Chelsea at home.

When Everton is your easiest in the next five you know things won't go well...
