Isn't that Borussia Monchengladbach. Borussia Dortmund are in the Champions League.

Ona nother note, I want Estonia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro & Turkey to get to the EURO's.

I also thought Dortmund dropped the first o, like Leverkusen with Bayer instead of Bayern (then again, Leverkusen are named Bayer after a pharmaceutical company so what do I know?)

Regarding FC Sions' appeal to be admiited to the EL, there are three options according to the UEFA:

1: FC Sion is added to Group I. All matches already played are nullified and all 5 teams will play home and away matches between 24 November and 22 December.

2: FC Sion is added to group I, but all the matches already played remain. Eight extra games are played between the end of November and the end of February.

3: FC Sion gets a place in the last 32, possibly after a play off.

I think 2 is the most sensible if FC Sion wins their appeal, as 1 and 3 are unfair towards the other teams.

This process concerns Fenerbahçe as well. Its apply to CAS still continues. But Swiss federation did not sell their team out when our *ucking federation did. That's why there is a team who's gonna play the match we should be playing today. But I believe that we would be able to handle it ourself. UEFA MUST make a statement about us.

I doubt that Fener has anything to do with FC Sions' appeal.

It's a totally different situation (accusations of bribery and using players not yet registered).

Fenerbahce are rightfuly disqualified, they have bribed people to succeed or 'cheated'. Sion have fielded ineligible players which the Swiss courts said they could, therefore have done nothing wrong. Fener don't deserve their place in the CL. On the main matter I believe that while proposal 2 is most likely to be accepted, I would prefer proposal 1. It brings more excitement to the torunament and it will test the teams to see who is best in some ways.

Fenerbahce did not bribe anybody. There is no a certain court decision. Fenerbahce has been disqualified from the CL even though nothing was proved.

*Right to be Considered Innocent until Proven Guilty*

That's why we demand our rights. And yes we deserved to play in CL, not the team who is playing right now even though it was eliminated in play-offs.

Hang on, take out the middle bit of that sentence...

"Sion have fielded ineligible players...therefore have done nothing wrong."

Um...

The opinion of the Swiss court is kinda immaterial here. UEFA banned Sion from signing any players, and so only UEFA, as the governing body of football in Europe, can then repeal that ban.

Incidentally, it seems Sion are now playing silly buggers over the decision to hold the appeal in the CAS, the CAS having stated twice that Sion have engaged in "clear abuse of CAS procedures" in attempting to delay the hearing.

I guess today is a must-win situation for both City and ManU.

I can see ManU having a field day. Even though they're away from home they've supposedly got good away support (although, to be honest, I don't even know where Otelul plays at. Are they one of the Balkan teams that gets in and plods along at the bottom of the table (every group seems to have one)?

@Serrland: Otelul are Romanian, so sort of, yes. Though they're playing their home games at the national stadium, presumably because either their own doesn't meet UEFA criteria, or they're trying to get more money through gate receipts.

Brilliant game between Manchester City and Villareal. Haven't seen a match like that in ages.

Bit of bad luck for Villareal, what with the Kun scoring in the 93rd minute... -.- And I haven't yet seen the footage of the goal to see if it was indeed offside or not, but... What a bitch for Villareal. Villareal deserved to go home with a tie, or even a win.

Real Madrid fucked Lyon over. 4-0. With a bit of help from Lloris, of course. ;)

Bayern Munchen... Just...

Well, they did win in the end, even if it took an own goal by Marchena and a goal in the 93rd minute, possibly offside, by Kun Aguero.

Their ground doesn't meet the UEFA standards.

Looking forward to United-City this weekend. Should be tasty.

Was hoping for a comeback from Lille, but it never came (even though they did apply pressure for a perido of time). Was also hoping for more resistance from Otelul. They did last a good 60 minutes but...

I'll probably post a video of the goal by Kun Aguero here.

It was possibly offside.

Own goal by Marchena plus goal in the FUCKING 93RD MINUTE! If that's not unlucky...

Yay! For about the first time this season, I'm happy to be an Arsenal fan. There was maybe once when Walcott scored against Udinese...but, fuck, that seems a long time ago.

Marseille got what they deserved, utter negative crap for the entirety of the second half punished by a last minute goal. Hah! Now we just need to beat them again at the Emirates and qualification is practically assured.

How many times are Arsenal gonna win a game in extra time? Pisses me right off.

Shaktar and Zenit played to a 2-2 draw. Shame. I wish there'd have been about 22 red cards and both teams would have had to withdraw from the competition. Traveling to either venue (although I think Zenit has been getting better?) is a safety hazard.
