Not as good. But a nice header from a cross from Sagna.

To be fair, Dogleash is right. The scoreline doesn't really reflect the game Liverpool did sort of dominate. Saying that Liverpool lacks a proper striker or something.

Yeah, van Persie, Szczesny and Wenger all admitted that Arsenal didn't deserve to win the game. But then, Liverpool only managed to hit the target with four of their twelve efforts and missed a penalty, so I think it's fairly obvious who's to blame.

Villas-Boas gone.

And no-one was surprised. Couldn't have seen this one coming any more easily if Abramovich started posting his orgasm face to all major imageboards.

I'd have preferred it to be at the end of the month, just after Spurs had beaten them.

Speaking of Spurs, this is Bennie Assou-Ekotto's tweet earlier today...
Shit shit shit shit TOUGHT GAME today from the first minute until the 93 minute! God of football bless us today plssss lol

That doesn't sound like a man brimming with confidence. For fuck's sake! I know we haven't played well recently but we're only one place behind them and WE"RE at home.
Today will not end well

Also, Abramovich only gives AVB 8 months to sort the team out, but he'll allow Torres a season to score a goal. What a doughnut

I hope for Chelsea's sake that the rumors of Rafa being the replacement aren't true. They'll be down next season if they are IMO.

I have heard Guardiola mentioned a lot in the rumor mill. Wouldn't be a bad pick, but would he want to go serve under Ruthless Roman?

Fulham are giving Wolves a proper thrashing. Dempsey with a brace and Pogrebnyak with a trick.

Nah. Looking at it, I think AVB didn't work out at Chelsea because he didn't win over the players, probably because he tried to get them to play a style their senior players didn't seem too comfortable with. That style of play -- high line of pressing, fluid three-man frontline etc -- isn't too dissimilar to Barcelona's... and I'd guess that Guardiola is likely to implement similar tactics. Also there's the "spectre" of Mourinho and the alleged closeness many of the squad still have with him.

I'd say Benitez is most likely choice, and probably best. Tactically, he's pretty good... often adapting to the personnel available and opposition. Also he might be able to get the best out of Torres. *shrug* Questionable transfer dealings, but... do Chelsea managers really even have full control over transfer policy under Abramovich? And its not like Chelsea are strapped for cash anyway.

I still can't believe Abramovich actually paid Porto £13.5 million to get him to come to Chelsea on the back of a singe Europa Cup...especially to manage a team that does have a rep with key first team players having a huge sense of entitlement...

Do you really think that he would move to Chelsea, a team full of prima donna's and past it players from Barca that has at the very least the greatest player ever in Messi? And has a far more realistic chance of winning in Europe?

Ugh, FIFA trying to pander to the UEFA at the expense of the rest of the footballing community with its proposed '15-18 calender. The proposed calender for 15-18 would eliminate Febuary and August friendlies and would require CONCACAF to redo its qualifying since only 10 of the required 12 days it needs for the final round would be FIFA dates.

Annoying, sure. But understandable, considering UEFA's considerable financial and commercial profile. FIFA is a business, after all. *shrug*
