Question And Answer With An Unknown Religious Leader

Postby Legionica » Mon Jun 27, 2011 9:46 am

Hello, friends and fellow NationStates users,
I am the Premonitionary of the Church of the Followers of Reckoron. I was once an atheist, believing that all religions caused more trouble than they could handle. I was open-minded, though, and thought to finally try a religion that I thought 'pure'. I spoke to the glorious Lord Reckoron and I found where my mind and souls should be dedicated. I am now the religious leader of my church, and I intend to spread the word of my faith and to help others understand my Lord. I am at a loss for time right now though, and I will not post my entire religious belief system in my OP. I will answer every question, in order as they come, though. Please, feel free to ask anything you'd like.

So what's the bare minimum I have to do for this faith to guarantee my seat in their version of the afterlife?
we, unlike the bourgeoisie, have nothing to lose and therefore our expression will be the only honest one, our words will be the only challenging ones and our art will be the one revolutionary expression. We need new noise and new voices and new canvases to become something more than the last poets of a useless generation.

I knew I would get a post like this one. Reckoron was once a human, a boy of 22. He lived in Ancient Rome. He had no beliefs of afterlife, nor a religion, but he did his best to uphold to a moral standard. He was not the strongest boy either, so he had little recognition for the work he did. But he persevered and worked hard, and when it came time to make a sacrifice for the whole of his community, he willingly put himself in that position. When he died, he took a new name, so that he may spread his values and protection of the weak from the strong to the world, as Lord Reckoron.

Ok...and now for an explanation that's NOT completely ambiguous crap please.

Here is my one and only question. I also have my own answer.

Are you just making this up? I have never heard of this so called religion, out of all the religions I know of and have studied.

And here is my answer to that question: You are making it all up, for whatever reason. Maybe for political or economic following? Maybe absolute power? Didn't a person once say the best way to make money is start a religion?
I'm Morrissey... Nice to meet you.

Will I have to sacrifice my son on a mountain top, and if so, will I become Saint Jack, Duke of the Premonitionary of the Church of the Followers of Reckoron?

That was with Scientology. He was a corrupt man... Anyway, these words were made up, before I posted them. Christianity, Judeaism, and Islam were all ideas, once.

Yes, because NationStates will give him political power.
Really, he's most likely just making it all up for no other reason than the lulz.

We are against sacrifice, but a position in the High Council of Reckoron might be possible with enough devotion.
